Read something on the weekend (I think in the Sun), that brought up an interesting point. Washington doesn't hit experienced coaches. Instead, they opt for rookie coaches and hope to find success that way.
Oates, hunter, Boudreau, Hanlon and Cassidy. The last five Washington coaches, none had NHL head coaching experience before they got the gig.
Maybe it's time to bring in an experienced guy?

I've thought it was McPhee for awhile now.....a team doesn't go from scoring 400 goals and winning President's Trophy's to trash just because. The players are the same, and yet their production has been cut in half because of some decree from management to play defense. ******ed. Your team is built to score, play to your strengths.
Oh, and don't half of your lineup be complete AHL garbage.....it makes it hard for the actual talent to do much of anything.
