Tough call for a limited keep 3.
Try to keep 3 that would be drafted in the 1st couple of rounds if it was a new draft.
Tavaes...Neal...Luongo
This might be premature, but who do you guys think I should keep this year? We're only allowed to keep 3 players, its my first year in the keeper league.
Here's the leading candidates for me:
Tavares, Halak, ???
Might keep Luongo over Halak if he ends up on a good team (Philly maybe? NOT TORONTO)- but I definitely need to keep a starting goalie since they won't be many left by next year's draft.
I don't know who to pick for 3rd keeper. I was thinking Neal, but last year was exceptional, and if he doesn't repeat this year then I have no idea who else I would choose. Its a tossup between Backstrom, Neal, Kopitar and Kesler, maybe even Benn if he puts up solid numbers this year.

If it was a new draft you think Luongo will get drafted over Halak? I picked Luongo pretty late in the draft like 10th round, will he be more valuable than Halak(my 3rd round pick) if he was moved to Toronto? He might get more starts, but Halak will most likely get more GAA, SHO and maybe even Wins depending how many games he plays

I would probably keep Tavares, Neal and Halak because he always puts up good stats even as a limited starter role.

Tavares Halak Benn. But boy its close between Neal/Benn/Kopitar and as you mentioned
Lou could surpass Halak.
Im thinking Tavares/Halak are both for sure. With your stats I would strongly consider keeping Luongo as well especially if you are having a hard time choosing between him and Halak. Your other choices will fill half the first round of the draft so its likely Neal or Backstrom will still be there for you, I dont think Luongo will be.
Lou Neal and Tavares.
Lou either gets dealt (starter) or plays lights out and sticks in Van over throwing Schneider (starter).
Neal because you cannot toss ANYBODY with his talent and gets to play with Crosby and Malkin on a regular basis...you just don't.
Tavares...no explaination required.
Tavares, Neal, and Backstrom would be my keepers. In a 12 team, keep 3 league, I don't believe you need to keep a goalie.

You need to start 2 goalies, so I disagree. See where Luongo ends up before you decide, but Halak is in a great situation on the Blues, especially if Hitchcock sticks around for a couple of years.
Tavares, Halak/Lu, and Neal. Neal is a great player in his own right, and he plays with the two best players in the world.

You have some nice centers, but I would spread my 3 positionally and go with the LEAST riskiest commodities...
Tavares - C
Neal - W
Halak - G
Tavares is your best center. I love Benn, but Neal on Malkin's, wing with Neal's shot, is pretty darn close to a guarantee of getting a PPG winger which would likely be your most productive one. In a 12 team league, you have to keep a goalie. Personally, since you can't really gamble when keeping three, I'd keep Halak over Lu. You have NO IDEA where Lu goes. If it ends up being a team like Fla, that'd be garbage. You KNOW who Halak plays for. He has one of the most talented teams in the league to help him net Ws.
