Who is better Berglund or Bobby Ryan?

A guy in my league has put Ryan on the trade block and he seems interested in Berglund.

I know it should be a no-brainer but Ryan's cap hit is bigger than Berglunds (5.3 vs 2.25) plus I'd have to bench either Yakupov or Hodgson who are putting pretty much the same points for less money.

Is it still worth it? League in signature.

    Cheers,
    Olivier

His situation absolutely drives me crazy........Bobby Ryan
I've had a hard on for him since his draft, if he is put in the right situation (anything but now) his stock flourishes.....If you are building or anything close, go get him. Ana needs to trade one of Gets or Perry which opens a door for him on PP1.

It's only a six-team league and I'm leading so I'm not really building but I'm trying to get players that will gain value in the next three years rather than players who are going to retire.

No one else has an opinion? Should I take this as an approval of my opinion?

Definitely a no brainer in my opinion. Ryan is nearly twice the fantasy player Berglund is.

    Dude...Bobby Ryan...drafted 2nd behind...o'le what's his name.

Guy...there's mutiple thread's (even on the NEW POSTS)asking if Berglund's worth the waiver add. (YES HE IS BY THE WAY)...but that's pretty much it.A waiver add...he's a depth player.

Don't under value Ryan...you'll hate yourself for it.

If you have the cap room to make it work, I'd do it. And it's quite nice that you can sit Ryan and be patient for him to (hopefully) come around while someone like Hodgson or Yak is producing. So I don't see the Yak/Hodgson thing as a reason to not acquire Ryan if you can -- you can never have too many good players!

I would trade Berglund for Ryan in a heartbeat. I believe Ryan is better now by a good margin, and will only get better, along with never getting caught by Berglund as a producer.

I would trade Berglund for Ryan in a hearbeat. Ryan's upside alone is worth the gap in salary. He's an upgrade, two-fold. He makes you better now and he could also upgrade your team via trade. If you chose to move him later, he's young and talented enough to bring you back a nice player. It's a win win to me. His salary is not a big enough deterrant to pass on acquiring him.
