    Default Worthy Waiver Pick ups?

    Worthy Waiver Picks?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the following guys are the most actively picked up waiver claims in Yahoo right now (in my league).

Any of them worth spending a pick on?

Raphael Diaz - 991 adds today
    (Mon - D)
Zack Kassian - 746 adds today
    (Van - RW)
Tom Gilbert - 634 adds today
    (Min - D)
Sami Salo - 508 adds today
    (TB - D)
Chris Neil - 432 adds today
    (Ott - RW)

Given my current team below. I'm pretty confident in my C/LW/RW.

Phaneuf is kinda driving me crazy, but Smith and Whitney are decent fill-ins... while OEL has solidified himself in my top 3 D keepers.

Other than that...My Goalies have always been a bit suspect, but Halak is performing when he does play and Bryz seems to be turning the corner. The rest are great depth as we only start 2.

DIAZ is really the only guy interesting me, but what will Subban's return do to his production (or is this guy a sleeper...diamond in the ruff type guys worthy of an early pouce).

Salo is also always an interesting play, but I'm very weary of his injury issues.

Think Diaz is really the only guy worthy of a look, but perhaps just sitting tight is best. Thoughts?

I'm not sure I'd bother with Diaz (or the rest of those guys). Subban's ice time will really cut into his.

I think sit tight. From what I recall last year, Diaz did quite well when the Habs were missing a body. Once healthy, his TOI went down. With Markov playing the way he is and Subban set to come back, his time will drop. And don't forget about Kaberle eventually returning. If Kassian was a LW, he'd be a solid pick up. You already have too many RW. I would actually consider moving a G or RW, possibly both to get another LW. You're too thin there.
