Default Oil Kids who to keep? who to trade?

    Hi team,

I have 3 of the Oiler super kids, RNH, Hall and Yak. The question is:

Do I keep all 3 or do I trade 1, 2 or all 3? if so who and for what?

I don't mean any offense by this, but this seems like way too broad of a question.

Would it be bad to keep all 3? No.
But we have no idea the other teams in your league. Think of an offer/offers and then ask the community's opinion.

Maybe I'm off base here, but I really don't mean this to be rude. I just want to help you help us help you.

I dont know why you wouldnt want to keep all 3. Why would you be looking to move any of them?

Yeah I'm not sure why you would want to trade them either but feel that you may want to diversify your team a little. In terms of trade value I would rank them as follows based on it being a goal heavy league

    Hall
    RNH
Yakupov - you'll never get full potential value for a first year player

I'd ride them out and wait til someone blows you out of the water with a deal you can't refuse. Put them on your trade block and come back with a tangible offer that the forum can weigh in on is the best advice I could give you.

Basically I'm just curious if the nation thinks I should keep all of them. at this point I want to keep all of them but my issue is that we start 6 forwards each week and 3 of them are on one team and if they go on a skid i go on a skid.

WNG no offense taken, if you had the 3 kids what would you do? the question is as simple as that.

Really depends on how you evaluate your team and what your needs are. In additon to what you replace them with.
    Team 1:
    10 Team Keeper, keep 16.
    Cat: +/-, PIMs, G, A, Pts, STG (PPG+SHG), GAA, SPct, W
    Roto, No Max games, weekly lineups - 12F, 6D, 4G - 6 bench

F: Benn, Bennett, Crosby, Hughes, Keller, Kopitar, Lindolm, Perron, Schmalts, Stephenson, Tavares, Thompson
    Bench - Lafreniere, Roslovic, Schenn

D: Chabot, Dahlin, Josi, Hronek, Morrissey, Schenn
    Bench - Sandin

G: F. Copley, Gustavsson, Skinner, Sorokin
    Bench: Merzlikins, Petersen, Andersen (IR)

    1) Your best players are your keepers. So yes, keep them all.
    2) In a keep-8 your goal is to own the 8 best players in the league. Therefore none of your Oilers should be untouchable in a trade.

I absolutely agree with this advice, only be careful how you define "best." You want not only the best players in the league now, but also those who will be in the top eight soon. Evaluating that potential and aligning the ratio of those two groups with your strategy is key. That's one more reason we could use more information: do you hope to win this year? More emphasis on next year?
