    Default Eakin or Shore?

Looking for a guy to fill a farm spot (< 100 GP) - not concerned with this season here at all. Stats below

I know Shore just got sent down, but have heard a lot of positive things about him. Eakin is up for good (more than likely) but is he a top six player?

Shore is your guy here. Eakin will likely be a third line center, who gets the occasional second line chance when injuries hit. He has Roy and Benn in front of him now and down the road he'll have Benn and Faksa. Shore has the better setup for top six minutes, and probably higher upside as well.

I would agree with this right here.

And for the record, he played with Fla last night. His demotion was short lived. He was recalled just as fast as he went down.

Shore was just sent down to play in the AHL All-Star Game. He had a goal and an assist in that game.

I'd also take Shore over Eakin. Shore has better upside.

It must have been right after the game last night, because I watched most of it on TV and he definitely played.

The AHL All-Star Game was played on Monday. Then he got called back up to play yesterday for the Panthers.
