Senators general manager Bryan Murray believes Jason Spezza could be back in the Senators lineup in two to three weeks.
"I’m optimistic," said Murray. "Two to three weeks seems like a fair time frame to at least project to." Spezza has been out of the lineup since Jan. 27 and had surgery on his back Feb. 1. Now it's just a matter of getting himself conditioned again. According to the Ottawa Citizen, Spezza will train a few more days on his own, then rejoin the team at practice.

If Spezza plays the last week of March, that would be incredible. That means he is going to be game shape ready for the start of most pool's playoffs.

Depends a lot on your scoring cats and your other players. In most formats I play in though I would rather Spezza than Kesler given their situations/injuries.

I'm about to pick him up as well... can't find anything on his possible return.

I too am looking for some specific news - kinda thinking about going hard for him in a trade and was wondering how much I can expect him to play to the end.

There is nothing new to report on Jason Spezza, except he hasn't been on the ice lately so doubtful he'll return anytime soon. #Sens

I am now convinced if he is FA iin your league, that a pickup before the 2nd week in April would be too soon if it limits your roster management.

    Agree with Shoeless.

It's looking more and more like the Sens will keep moving towards securing a spot in the Playoffs and then hope they can add Spezza, Anderson, and dare I even suggest EK? They could be a handful.
