without knowing more details i like the deal at face value
knowing how many keepers and who else is on your team would give me a better idea though
I'm looking at offering my Giroux/Howard for his Neal/Price.
I've been chasing Price for awhile in my 16 team, full keeper. Assuming the stats are the same as the league in my sig, does this look like an even deal or is Giroux too valuable to part with, without getting something else? I also have Malkin, Ovy & Perry as Fwd's and Lundqvist as my other G.
Cheers!

yeah i still like the deal for you
to me the downgrade from giroux to neal is not nearly the upgrade from howard to price especially given its a 16 team league
I think this is a fair deal for both sides. I like the Neal side peronally but I think you should run with it.

I prefer Neal/Price.
I have a lot of doubts that Howard is still Detroit's #1 goalie next year and the team is simply not as strong with an owner that seems to be focusing money on his other "hobby" (the Detroit Tigers).
You will love having Malkin/Neal... all your eggs in one basket is fine in fantasy hockey.
Also - I've always been sour on Price because of Montreal's team.
But five years ago I forecasted Lundqvist to become one of the best goalies in hockey once the Rangers actually had their money spent wisely and dished all of their crappy contracts. I nailed that prediction. (You'd have to go back to my pre-Dobber, ESPN blogging days, but it's there... when I said the Rangers needed to build around Lundy/M.Staal/Callahan. This was pre-B.Richards days.)
So anyways, with Price... eventually Montreal will spend to the cap more wisely and with a few contracts shed, it could be as early as this coming summer.
Overall - I LOVE the Neal/Price side. I'd make that trade.
I like this deal and you should definitely offer it to see how much he wants Giroux.
Another point in favour is that since you have PIM, Hits and SOG, but no FOW, that devalues Giroux a bit and increases Neal's value significantly.
G: Neal
A: Giroux
+/- Giroux so far but could be Neal
PIM Neal
PPP Wash
Hits Neal
SOG Neal
GWG Wash due to randomness
Even if you argue a bit closer in some cats, Neal has the edge. Combine that with a goalie upgrade and it's a nice deal and hopefully the other manager will go for it, which is the bigger question. It all depends on his perceived value and needs. For example, if Price is his #1 then I'm not sure it'll work though.
