Default My Yakupov & Tavares for His Ovy & Seguin

    Hey guys,

Just wanted to see if I can get a consensus here. I got offered this trade yesterday, and I can't decide if I should take it and hope I'm buying "low" on Ovy, or if I should stick with my own guys.

This year: Ovechkin/Seguin by a good bit
Next year: Ovechkin/Seguin by a little bit
    Year 3: Tavares/Yakupov by a littel bit
    Year 4: Tavares/Yakupov by a good bit

Depends on your own personal direction for your team.

It also depends on your leaguemates valuation of Ovechkin.
If people in your league still like Ovechkin, you could consider taking the Ovechkin/Seguin side and then flipping Ovechkin for, say, Jamie Benn +.

It's a deep, deep league (19 teams x 12F), so flipping Ovechkin for two excellent forwards could be a great depth move.
Again... IF, IF there is somebody that still values Ovechkin highly.

John Tavares will outscore Ovechkin in pts this year.
Seguin will outscore Yakupov in pts this year.
JT and Yak are younger. I own Yakupov and JT and if I was offered that trade I'd come on here and ask the same damn question. I think I would stick with JT and Yak. We aren't a PIM's league tho.

In that particular format with SOG and +/-.... I'll take the Ovie/Seguin side pretty easily.

i like this idea. you will always have someone willing to pay for Ovie if this looks like it could be slipping away from you.

would i make the trade? don't know that i would. i personally feel it's a big of a buy high. you're getting a pretty even swap with tavares/seguin. so, if you look at it that way, it's Ovie for Yakupov. would you make that deal straight up?

the trade was also offered to you, so it's probably not their best offer.
