    Default Bobby Ryan a dropsie?!?

    Ah, the early season jitters...

Someone got impatient with Bobby Ryan and dropped him to waivers. I'm definitely interested, especially since Anaheim plays on a lot of off-nights compared to the rest of the league. I've got the #4 waiver claim, so he may not get to me if #'s 1-3 want him.

Who would you drop to get him? Or maybe you wouldn't drop anyone... Thoughts? Thx.

Without hits in your league Doan would be my drop for Ryan.

TAKE RYAN!!! These are exactly the sort of opportunities I wait for early in the season. I would drop Kunitz or Doan for him in a heartbeat.

Doan is the guy to drop here. Hopefully, Ryan will be yours....

Dropping Doan for Ryan is definitely a good choice. Ryan also scored his first goal of the season last night, so things will probably be turning around for him in due time.

You know, I've mulling this over in my head for a while today... I'm wondering if Doan is worth keeping with his dual-eligibility and *Callahan* is the one to drop for Ryan.

Callahan seems like the odd-man out as Torts is playing "the big 3" together on the same line. Granted Torts likes to juggle his lines a bit, but I could see him riding that trio for as long as they're hot. If he does, Callahan's production goes down.

Also Doan is off to a good start... Maybe he plays a bigger scoring roll with Whitney gone from Phoenix...

Maybe I'm trying to jam a round peg into a square hole here trying to get Ryan on the team...

Drop Doan. Keep Callahan. Doan is on the downside of his career. Torts won't keep the big-3 together. Be patient with Callahan he will come around.

By the way didn't Doan start hot last year, only to end with his normal 50-60 point average of the last few years?

Personally, I would keep Doan over Callahan. I just don't see a ton of upside for NYR forwards NOT named Richards, Gaborik or Nash. Also, Doan is still relied on for offense in Phoenix. And despite his age, he's still putting up points. 50 in 69 last season (with 22 goals) and 60 in 72 the season before (with 20 goals).

4 points in 5 games to start, so the lockout hasn't slowed him down. I say stick with Doan. Then again. I really like Doan - so maybe I'm biased.
