    Default Pacioretty or Bobby Ryan

Wondering if Bobby Ryan is worth trading away Pacioretty + a defenceman (Hamonic? Erik Johnson?). The two play the same position and have similar points. Is Ryan's upside that much higher than Pacioretty's to make this deal, or should I stick with what I have?

Team is sig. Thanks for the input.
    League settings:

    16 Team Rotisserie 18 players, 9 keepers (+ 1 graduating prospect), 2F,2C,2L,2R,4D,1G, +5 bench
G,A,+/-, PIM, PPG, PPA, SHP, Hits
    W, GAA, SV%, SHO

    C: Getzlaf,
    LW: B. Ryan, Pacioretty,
    RW: Eberle, Voracek, St. Louis,
    D: Subban, Giordano, Gudas,
    G: Rask,

Prospects: Beach, Bjugstad, Bowman, Gaudreau, Grachev, T. Johnson, Markstrom, Morin, Morrow, Nyquist, B. Smith, Salak, Spooner, Stone, Toffoli

As a fellow Ryan owner (different scoring than yours) and having watched each of the Ducks first 3 games....man.....Ryan looks awful so far. I know it's early, and you never want to sell low, but if you have a chance to trade for MaxPac, I think I'd try to do it. You should have more benefit with the additional stats like Hits and PIMs too.

I'm faced with the same delema. Guy offers from me Taresenko and Bernier fir Ryan and Bachman...essentially a 2 for 1...sell low on Ryan and buy high on Taresenko...i'm pondering but think ill hold on to Ryan...who knows what he'll do if traded.

Thanks for the response. Just to be clear, I am currently the Pacioretty owner, and am wondering if I should cash him (and a bit more) in for Ryan.

I'd take Ryan over Pac. Ryan has proven much more. It's close, but I'd prefer Ryan.

That's too funny. I offered Ryan to an owner in my league for Tarasenko +

Offer was turned down. That's actually a sell low, buy high I'd consider.

Ryan is better than Pac, I think that'll be pretty much unianimous.

But man, BR is playing bad.....If you need it this year - with it being a short season, I'd say Max Pac.

Interesting to wonder if Bobby Ryan ever does get traded. What ever happened to those rumours?

Long term I'd rather have Ryan.

Short term basis if you need the help now Pacioretty is in a better situation. Concur though about Ryan looking like horse bleep so far.

    MaxPac for me straight up.

In all leagues I'm in, MaxPac is better than Ryan.

I think Selanne will play till 55, and Ryan will always be on 2nd line

I go with Max Pac here too. Bobby Ryan has looked awful and has not been producing. That being said, he is a perennial 30 goal scorer and those are hard to come by. But without getting top PP time in Anaheim, Max Pac looks to be in the better situation. I am struggling to wonder why it is I keep Ryan around.

Max Pac out 4-6 weeks with an appendectomy. So, maybe Ryan will be the safer bet for this year too.

Not 4-6 weeks. The original call is for 3-4 weeks. I'd bet less.

At least 2 weeks, though for sure. Ryan had an assist last night and was one of the best Ducks on the ice. What a difference 24 hrs can make.

The kid did come back from a broken neck. Wouldn't surprise me if he played tomorrow.

Seriously though....I bet he's back before 2 weeks is up if there are no complications.
