    Default What's Ryan Suter worth?

My D is pretty week this year, so I asked the team with the most D in my league if he would trade one. He came back saying Ryan Suter is available.

Who would you offer for Ryan Suter using only Forwards and/or picks? Team in sig. Points only.

    Thanks

I would offer the hot-starting Kyle Turris for Ryan Suter.
It's a low-ball offer... but start there and see what he thinks.
If he doesn't like it, just ask him what he is interested in.

If I was the Suter owner, I would want Skinner or Granlund back... which may seem to high for you.

I would offer Wheeler and Berglund for Suter. If he counters insert Voracek for Berglund and try again. Last case scenerio would be to offer Granlund straight up...u do need the d help bad.

I think Suter's value is declining each day that he doesn't produce in Minny. Weber was always the real deal... Suter could have been riding on his coat tails from an offense standpint.

You could try Turris + Berglund... I would not offer Granlund, Skinner or Wheeler for him.

Right now is a good time to trade for Suter. I own Suter an it is frustrating see him not do anything at all. But it usually it takes d a while to get settled in and start producing. IMO

Well, I offered him Berglund for Suter and he countered with Tarasenko and a 2nd.

I think he'd do Tarasenko straight up, but I'm a no on that. I really think he's going to be big.

    Am I thinking right here?

    Thanks for the help.

You've never watched a lot of Predators games, right? Patently ignorant statement.

I haven't watched a lot of Predator games either, I was under the same opinion, I have been trying to trade Suter inmy league. Good to hear your opinion Dakkster...I think I will be more patient with him and see where it goes.

FYI - I couldn't trade him for anything, there was very little demand for him in my league....so I don't think we are alone stunaman.

Our league keeps trades active at all times. I tried to use the hype of the signing, and I have been adding him to trades to figure out his value for about 4 weeks. The value isn't real high.

He is definately more valuable to my team than in a trade.

Suter's a stud. Don't let a slow start fool you. The PP1 in Minne looks beast and he's bound to start picking up points.

I think now is a good time to buy low. In fact, I just dealt Stamkos for Neal + Suter, and couldn't be happier.

Don't deal Tarasenko. I've watched most of the Blues games early and he is the real deal.

In a straight points pool, I honestly don't see Suter going over 28 pts this season. He is off to a slow start, which is the perfect time to go after him.

    Good luck!

    Here's his latest offer.

    To me: Suter & Ennis

    To him: Berglund, 2013 1st(pick 7-9) & 1 of Turris or Gagner

I feel that this is a little high, but I really need a D.

Any thoughts on what I should counter.

So, we're about 2 weeks further ahead and Suter is still ice cold.He had that 4 point stretch, now 3 games again with goose eggs. He's on pace for maybe 20 pts and it seems like the other GM is trying to fleece you, especially since your D only count points in your format.

I can see you really could use some points from the D, but if you are going to give all that up....why not offer the same package to a few other GMs and see if it mmight get you back an even more offensive D man?

    Good luck!
