    Default Waiver Wire options (rep)

Ryan O'Reilly and Justin Faulk are both available on the wire.

Anyone on my team that you'd punt for either of them?

    Team and league in sig.

I would take Faulk over Zidlicky in your league. Im still confident in the Canes as it's only been two games.

O'Reilly....Id wait until we see where he fits in the lineup.

Faulk to replace Zidlicky. Cammi might be replacable as well but it's too early to tell.

I wouldnt jump on O'Reilly just yet, but keep a close eye on the situation. I would replace Zidlicky with Faulk, I just see the Canes scoring more goals than the Devils this season.

I agree with the above recommendations to replace Zidlicky with Faulk. However in a keep 6 it is far from a slam dunk. Pitkanen is still a very good player, and even Corvo could potentially take some PP minutes. With Zidlicky (who despite the drop-off these last couple of years is still a capable player) the only competition is Andy Greene.

Neither are going to be keepers on your roster so I understand the dilemma. Any other defenceman available on the wire? Should Faulk not pan out, the availability of a replacement similar to Zidlicky would be enough to push me to take the chance on him.

Yeah, there are a few others: Pitkanen, Whitney, EJ, Bogosian.

I figure Faulk has the best upside, but as you say, he "may not pan out".

I'd grab EJ and drop Zidlicky. Then Faulk over Goligoski.

Those are good options to fall back on should Faulk disappoint. I'd keep a close eye on Pitkanen, Zidlicky and EJ and in a keep 6 I wouldn't hesitate to drop Faulk for any of them if he falters.

I'd also grab EJ over Zidlicky. If nothing else, EJ has the clearest path to consistent PP time, and should get you more SOGs with an equal (or perhaps slightly better) +/- rating. But I'd keep my finger on the trigger with Faulk if he faulters.

I'd also hang onto Goligoski. Dallas PP could be quite a bit better this year with Jagr and the Wizard added to the mix, both of whom continue to excel in that aspect at this stage of their careers. Can't see any of the other Stars d-men pushing Goligoski out of that role, while Faulk does have more competition to push him out of the prime PP time if he falters.

Thanks, I have no intention of letting Goligoski go. He's not lighting things up for me now but the season's still young.

Well, it looks like the consensus is Zidlicky -> Faulk.

Gainey, it says I've given you too much rep for the time being, but I'll catch you on the flip-side.
