With the (slightly) slow start, I was thinking of making a go at acquiring Crosby. Would Rinne and Edler possibly be enough to acquire him?

What an adorable offer.
You know, it's not that a GM needing a boost in net and on D wouldn't consider this, it's that there are only a handful of players (Malkin, Crosby, Stamkos, and maybe Giroux or Ovechkin) with whom you can acquire any other player in the league. So if I have Crosby (which I do) I'm asking myself who is the one player in the league, other than Crosby, I would want on my team. I find it doubtful that it would be Rinne and/or Edler.
Take out Edler (in general, I find others less eager to deal for defence) and throw in top 20 name forward. I'd make a suggestion but you didn't post your team.
