Trying to shave salary, I don't want to get caught up in the Tarasenko hype but it's damn hard.

you are getting brown and cally correct
Yep. That would be correct. Meaning that on my off nights I can bring in one extra farm guy to rotate and maximize starts. But still..... an extra start means nothing if it's a guy who isn't producing.

cally and brown are a huge bargain in terms of points per dollar in your setting
combined their cap hit is less than parises yet they are right up there with him in points
granted their deals are up in 2 and 1 year respectively however i think they will still end up representing good value in your league
i think you have to do this
I like Carle/ Parise and Tarasenko.
This gives you the most points in the deal. I get the multi-cat players and their value, but you still need elite scoring and this package gives that. Carle will be fine in TB on PP and Parise is the cream of the crop of this trade package. Tarasenko is the real deal. Don't want to deal him away only to regret it later?
Cally / Brown sure do offer some good multi cat value and some scoring punch but in the global aspect of thinking here long term and for the most part in the short team, Parise side wins this deal for me.
i am sorry but there is no multi cat in a points setting
there are points they are added up and totaled and it doesnt make a bit of difference where they come from (although some would argue that hitting and blocking are actually more reliable than scoring)
when you replace players in a points setting if you take a player with fewer points just to get certain cats you are playing the game the wrong way
you just cannot treat a points league like a multi cat league and expect to win
also in capped leagues its very important to get the most production out of every dollar so sometimes even having the most points is not always the best depending on what they cost you (and i think its open to debate that the parise side represents more points)
