Could it be Detroit waiting on Bertuzzi's status with mono?

that's a good guess too and his wife wants to live in FL again right? but who's gonna want that Lecavilier contract? (I assume he would be the one they'd wanna shift)

Ban hammer coming down on Neuvirth after some of the comments he made in the press?

OH interesting! He get's to move to Florida and tandem up with the new young gun? But would that not just create the same parody that currently exists in Vancouver? Unless TB has decided to scrap their youth plan (hell...the send all their other young tenders away).

Shiat! I hope you're wrong. I have Backstrom and Bryzgalov...Immediate impact to both and not in a good way (unless it's a 3 team deal and say...the Leafs get Backstrom...)

Argh! I'm on edge no matter what way you slice it!

Is New Jersey a possibility? I hear their GM likes front loaded deals.

Never. I'm pretty sure they are going to run with Lindback. He's young and Yzerman likes him. I'd be willing to bet they are nowhere near these talks.

    Colorado seems to fit.

They have to do something with Oreilly right?
Thats how I read his comment "We have a potential deal in place with one team that has to do something with another player that they have — and it's not who anybody thinks it is — and so we have to wait."

any other players that are having issues ???- not going to be Benn obviously.
oreilly fits the nucks needs to an absolute tee.

Luongo's contract really doesn't fit in with Colorado's pay structure and they've got very solid duo in Varly/Giguere. Really can't see Colorado even being a possible destination for Luongo.

so do you have any other suggestions then? I am just speculating
    I wouldn't rule Colorado out.

trying to guess what Gillis is after: Canucks need a center - make a list of potential centers that are having issues with their team? and don't have a top ten goalie

    chicago - needs a center
    NJ - needs a center
    TO - need Bozak
Wash? maybe they are not exactly rebuilding

    others?
