    Default Which D to trade?

I have these D in a 12 team Dynasty League:

    Edler
    OEL
    Fowler
    Adam Larsson
    Spurgeon
    Dougie Hamilton

I think I have one of the strongest set of D, but I usually only try to carry 5 at the most. I also am kinda weak up front, so who should I try to move?

I was thinking either Fowler or OEL, because I think I could get the most for them. But who would carry the bigger value? And also, which of the 2 are expected to develop into a more offensive D?

Your D is also really young - are those your only D, or do you have other vets on the squad?

Aside from Edler and OEL, I don't know how much production you're going to get out of the rest this year, as good as they may be.

if they are your only D (and with the little info we have), I'd trade one or two of the prospects (Hamilton, Spurgeon) for some immediate help on forward so you can win now.

My one thought on Spurgeon is that he's playing with Suter (at least to start), so this should be the low-end of his value right now.

Yeah, I took it over like a year and a half ago, and had to cut bait on a lot of guys for draft picks. Trust me - this is better than it was.

Your team is pretty week, aside from in goals. You have too much youth and not enough vets.
You could try to trade OEL or one of your prospects centers.
    Weekly H2H points only (Year 9 - 2015-16)
    12 teams limited keeper (keep 6 + 1 Rookie)
13 round draft - Unlimited Trades - No Waivers - No IR
4 Team Playoffs (last 2 reg. season weeks)
Rookies are 23 years old or younger in the draft year and never reached 60pts (forward), 40pts (defense), 25 wins (goalie)

    Start : C RW LW Utility D D G
    Points : A - G = 1 pt W = 2 pts SO = 1pt

    C - S.Stamkos, J.Thornton, K.Turris, D.Stepan
    LW - O.Palat, B.Saad, A.Burakovsky
    RW - B.Wheeler, T.Toffoli, C.Atkinson
    D - E.Karlsson, S.Gostisbehere, C.Fowler, A.Ekblad, A.Larsson
    G - C.Hellebuyck, D.Dubnyk, A.Niemi, K.Lehtonen

i am sure it was worse

still plenty of work to be done but i guess i dont need to tell you that

rinne is probably your biggest chip and you might have to put him out there and see what it looks like

maybe package him and one of your defenders for a forward

it has to be a youngish forward you dont need him to be retired before the rest of your team catches up

Wow, after seeing your team I'm wondering if you're worried about this year or not. Good to have youth, but some of these guys are 3 years away from being studs, if they make it.

So, how many can you keep? I'd package the ones you feel less attached to and see what you can get to maybe finish somewhere in the money this year.

A few of them are kind of equal IMO so throwing a bunch out there might be an idea.

If I'm you (and I'm not, but what the hell, I'd keep:

    J. Staal, Pavelski, Huberdeau, Wheeler, Voracek for forwards,
OEL, Edler, and Larsson for D,
and actually keep both your G.
As for your utilities maybe keep one D that you really like.

Throw the rest out there and see if you can get 2 star vets for your remaining forward and D slot, and a few others to help you be competitive this year.

We can keep all players year-to-year. I'm not too worried about winning this year - if there was something I could do to improve, I will do it, but I'm ready to wait it out another year if needed.
