Default Mike Green - am I crazy?

Decently pleased with the way my D is looking, but thinking I might want a piece of Mike Green under this new powerplay with Oates at the helm.

First am I crazy and secondly, is Carlson straight up a legit deal?

What are your scoring cats? I guess it doesn't really matter because either way I'd take the chance on the deal. Green is healthy and that's been his biggest hurdle lately. As long as he's healthy all year I'd say John Carlson is his downside, while obviously PPG or close to it would be his upside.....you won't get those numbers from Carlson.

I would make the trade. I love Green's potential to put up points, I've taken him on and been burned before, yet I still seem to keep going back to him. Green can one of the elite fantasy D, and thus I would move a steady reliable Carlson for him straight up.

Green's going to put up 30+ points this year (in 48 games - 60+ point pace).

I've always loathed Green, but the gamble was too irresistible to pass up in the 7th round in my cash pool. In a shortened season, the odds of him getting injured are lessened.

With Green and Orlov on the roster, Carlson's offensive role will be significantly diminished.

Thanks gents. Not sure why my scoring cats were showing up, but they're on this post. I think I'm going to try to get him.

I really like Green this year, no doubt a rebound year. Especially with the new coaching.

Green is healthy, he has a coach that is encouraging offence from his d-men, and his team will be in a playoff chase the entire season.

Yeah, I think he's a good bet to have a rebound season. Cross your fingers and hang on tight.

If you are a risk taker, go for Green. Everyone expects him to bounce back and have a decent year. He has been one of my keepers now since the year before the 30 goal season, this is my last year with him. If he performs, I will keep him again. Anything like the last two years happens (poor production or constantly injured) I am done. I would rather keep another forward and draft defensemen in my league.

I also own him for 3 years.
If he doesn't put up 4-5 points in the first 10 games this season I'm done with him.
