Default [Waivers] Both Flames potential backups on waivers

According to TSN , both Leland Irving and Henrik Karlsson are on waivers.

Can you imagine if they both got claimed by other teams?

What is Calgary possibly thinking? Am I missing something here? Do the Flames have something lined up that we don't know about?

Have they finally decided that since they never play their back-ups anyway that they would just roll with Kipper all season and give the roster position to a player?
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

I think it's because they are going to give Brust a shot but I could be wrong.

i dont think they have made a decision on who the backup is going to be so they waived both figuring they will end up keeping one up and sending the other down

with everyone having to get to 23 by tomorrow there will be less pickups out of the guys waived today than people would think

I really want teams to call their bluff and claim both goalies just so that we can shit on the Flames some more.

It's clear they've decided to play Kipper all 48 games.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I'm wondering if Cory Sarich is next in line just in case Kipper gets the flu.

I feel like I'm missing something here too. I don't care about Karlsson as he's largely been a flop in my eyes, but why Irving? He showed a bit of promise last year at the NHL level...despite his craptastic performance this year in the AHL.

They expect both to clear which would give them the option to demote either one once they make up their mind.

I second this, horrible mismanagement on a team that used to show so much potential (a long time ago).

The Flames management is in the "so sad it's funny" category just like Honey Boo Boo and this lame attempt at a joke.

The Flames confuse me sometimes, I mean a lot of times. Is this there way of saying good bye to both goalies? I think both will pass though waivers without being claimed then the Flames will have an awkward situation to deal with. Im puzzled????

They are trading for both Luongo AND Schneider to be Kipper's back-ups. Makes sense to the Flames' front office.

So in other words they're trying to let someone else make their decision for them in the mean time lol.
