    Default Hamonic long term

Would love to hear some thoughts on Travis Hamonic's long term points production. He's shown great promise as a physical defensive d-man, but also put up some pretty decent numbers on a poor team as a 20 and 21 yr old.

I have the possibility of picking him up for Wideman (possibly a bigger package, but these would be the two main pieces) in a salary cap SIM league where I am rebuilding - thinking 2-3 yrs from now. Defensive and physical ratings really boost Hamonic's value (hits, defensive ability, blocked shots, size).

I doubt Wideman will be putting up great numbers in Cgy (maybe 37-40) and his new contract is not insignificant agaisnt my capspace.

So what's the consensus? Can Hamonic be a 40+ guy in the next 2-3 yrs on a team you would think has nowhere to go but up (you would THINK they have to improve...)?

I think he'll be at least a 30-35pt guy will flirts with 40 and gives you 200 HITS and 150-175 blocks + PP Pts. He'd be a MONSTER in your league!!'

Gotta agree with One87. He is tailored for your league. With Streit and Visnovsky getting older, I think he will step up as their number 1 defenceman within the next few years. I don't think 40 pts is out of reach for him.

i agree with both of the above 30-35 with the occasional 40 but with his hits and blocked shots a monster in those leagues
