Default 2nd pick... please help draft tonight

OK - I have posted a couple of times and am going nuts!!!

I have the 2nd overall pick in my keeper league and believe Yakupov is going 1st, otherwise my decision is easy.

I am in a rebuild right now, although with the shortened season anyone can compete.
For the league in my sig so you can see where I have gaps by position. Mainly RW and D. Goalies are thin and I have two decent young guys, but they also make the best trade bait. Having said that, trading is hard in this pool.

So..... long post, summary. For my team given my roster gaps who do you take from this short list of options. Rep for your opinions...

    1. Forward (positions matter): Tarasenko, Granlund, Roy, Krecji
    2. Defense: Shultz
    3. Goalie: Lindback, Varlamov, or Holtby.

Any help would be most appreciated as I have flip flopped like 20 times already!

I would go with Schultz, and enjoy watching him run the Oil's PP.

Man, that's a tough call. For me it would be down to Schultz, Granlund and Holtby. From there I don't think you can go wrong and it's just a matter of where you need help the most, because all of these guys will be contributing this year. You've got a solid pair of goalies, so leave Holtby out, which leaves Schultz and Granlund. I've taken highly touted D-men over highly touted forwards before and been badly burned, so experience says take Granlund. Not that Schultz is looking like a flop or anything, but if there are two prospects that are hyped equally and one is a forward and the other a defenseman I'll take the forward every time. So my official vote is for Granlund. Hope that helps!

Do you change line ups daily or weekly?

If daily, I would lean towards grabbing Holtby, given your scoring categories.
    Team 1:
    10 Team Keeper, keep 16.
    Cat: +/-, PIMs, G, A, Pts, STG (PPG+SHG), GAA, SPct, W
    Roto, No Max games, weekly lineups - 12F, 6D, 4G - 6 bench

F: Benn, Bennett, Crosby, Hughes, Keller, Kopitar, Lindolm, Perron, Schmalts, Stephenson, Tavares, Thompson
    Bench - Lafreniere, Roslovic, Schenn

D: Chabot, Dahlin, Josi, Hronek, Morrissey, Schenn
    Bench - Sandin

G: F. Copley, Gustavsson, Skinner, Sorokin
    Bench: Merzlikins, Petersen, Andersen (IR)

I like this breakdown a lot. It's close but your scoring cats do not favour defencemen so it's Granlund for me as well. Good Luck.
