Does anyone know how long after the 8am Saturday cutoff for player voting teams can make trades and/or sign new contracts with players? Thanks

I expect it to be a little while before an announcement is made and then shortly after that Bettman comes out and says something "start your engines... GO!". So I don't think it'll be long.

Agreed. Technically the CBA does not go into effect until the NHLPA confirms its members have voted in favour of ratification. With the electronic voting and (knowing the majority are going to ratify it) I suspect a press conference called for9-10am where Bettman announces the CBA is in effect and the full schedule is released.
