    38 in 48 is like 65 in 82

i think 36-38 is going to be the norm for many of the #1s out there

It depends on the playoff race. I expect it to be a lot more tight than in 1995 because of the OTL points crunching teams together. I think what coaches say is 36-38 could end up being 40 as they try to squeak out an extra win or two down the stretch.

Out of the gate, I expect teams to play their #1 goalies 3 out of 4 games (75%).
So 36/48 is about on pace...

That said, I think the final 3-4 weeks, we'll see a lot of teams really going with their hot goalie if there is separation. I can't see Enroth outplaying Miller... and I'd guess Miller ends closer to 38games.

Agree with Eric. If he's saying 36-38 right now, I bet in the end it will be more like 40+ for Miller, which would be a 68 game pace in a regular season.

Coaches always start out by saying they want to give their starters more rest, but when shit starts hitting the fan and they see how tight the race is, they will ride their goalies to the death.

lol..yeah, buy stock in what Lindy says. Do that.

36-38 games in a 48 game season, is equivalent to 65 GPs in an 82 game season. Lindy has neither the patience nor the brains to give Enroth that many games.

    Not happening.

EDIT: Oh and I see Bondon is giving out the goalie news.

If the Sabres are in contention for a playoff spot, Miller is going to see even more starts. Miller gives the Sabres their best chance to win, and I believe the Sabres are going to need every win they can get, if they want to make the playoffs.
