Default Who to pick at 6.

Hey guys, just acquired the 6th overall pick in our prospects draft. The draft includes all 2012 Draft picks as well as any undrafted players (Kreider, Toffoli, Silfverberg, Bjustad etc..)

I expect Yak, Galy, Grig, Reilly going 1-4.

If it were between the next list of guys who would you take at 6 for my team in my sig?

    Kreider
    Forsberg
    Toffoli
    Silfverberg
    Bjustad
    Dumba
    Murray
    Teravainen
    Rattie
    Palmeiri

    Thanks

    I would take Bjugstad.

Really? Is that because he is closer to being ready? I can wait a couple years if needed for a player. Who would you say from that list has the best potential?

The combination of NHL readiness and high potential makes him an easy choice here, if you can snag him at your pick.

If you can't, I would take Silfverberg then Kreider.

I'd go with Silfverberg, ready to contribute, and could see him playing in the Top 6 this year with Ottawa. Might not have the highest end potential of the group, but he's the most ready, and doesn't carry the uncertainty of some of the other players, on top of that even if some guys do wind up being better, it shouldn't be by a great amount, and it will take longer for them to do so. Kreider would be my next choice, for similar reasoning, don't see him being as successful quite as quickly, but probably has a higher potential.

If you don't care to get an immediate contributer, I like Bjugstad the best, I think he has the best potential of the group.

    Just finished our prospects draft...

Ended up taking Bjugstad 6th...John Gibson 17th, Cody Ceci 30th and took a flyer on Wojtek Wolski at 42.

What are your thoughts on Gibson and Ceci?

I know Gibson is a project but in a 12 team league Goalies are at a premium. With Miller, Bryz, and Holtby I can wait a bit before needing a starter. I though he looked fantastic and shower superstar potential at the WJC.

I would have taken Bjugstad too. Gibson is solid...may end up being Ana's franchise G in the future. Ceci is a solid choice. You did well.
