More updates trickle in as the night progresses....here is some of the latest via TSN:

According to Dreger, issues still include what the salary cap would be in the 2013-14 season. The league has come off their demand from $60 million to $62.5 million, while the Players' Association has moved on the salary cap to $64.3 million, which happens to be the upper limit from last year's cap. LeBrun also reported the players are willing to keep the salary cap floor at $44 million for year two, even with a higher upper limit.

The length of a maximum contract and salary variance from year to year are also issues at large.

    Louis Jean ‏@LouisJean_TVA

Cont. "As soon as it doesn't, or it may be counterproductive, we will break off."

Vet agent: deal as good as done, league now taking it to final hour, grabbing what's left to take off table.

Speculative, but hey, good to hear this stuff...

His team won 6-4. Team had a great 1st period up 5-1, then stumbled in the second when the other team scored three. They scored the insurance goal with just over a minute left.

My cousin has a lot of good talents. He's a centerman. He's still learning about all of that fun stuff so it's a work in progress. He skates very well and has good positioning, especially when covering for defensemen who are out of position. I think he needs to be more agressive in the offensive zone when his team is trying to score. He tends to hang back too much instead of going to the net or getting to an open spot in the slot. I don't think he lost a face-off all game.

    Upside: 60
    3YP: 30
    Style: Plekanec
    Expected arrival time: 2027.

Only really worth it in very deep keeper leagues. Like, 150-man farm squads in a 30-team league.

    Hope this helps.

To me it was hilarious because it was just like Bettman saying it was his final offer. When they switched to 6 years max contracts I posted a few times on here asking if Daly can be confirmed alive and if Bettman left his friend there to die.
