Default Top 15 five years from now

I realize this question could go many ways, but who do you think the top 15 in point scoring will be in 4 or 5 years from now?

    (Not in any particular order)

    Crosby
    Malkin
    Stamkos
    Ovechkin
    RNH
    Giroux
    Seguin
    Tavares
    Eberle
    Hall
    Backstrom
    Benn
    Toews
    Neal
    Yakupov

    Mackinnon?
    Galchenyuk?
    Granlund?
    Huberdeau?

I am sure i missed a few potentials?

Far, far too many variables here for me to even fathom a guess. I try not to do it even on a year to year basis.

quite impossible to predict. too far down the road. anything more than year-by-year prediction is incredibly unlikely to be reliable

For heaven's sake, it's Christmas time, make some predictions. It's just for fun and might offer up some discussion during the bore-fest that is the lockout....give'er

    Noun
(slang, idiomatic) 1. A person who habitually corrects or criticizes the language usage of others, especially in situations where it is unnecessary, e.g. an informal conversation.
Notes: This behavior is almost always found in people with very low I.Q's, whom have a very low sense of self worth. Impotence is also commonly linked to Grammar Nazi's.

After that I think it just gets dicey. Lots of factors come into play but I can see things go as follows:

    Ovechkin
    Tavares
    Backstrom
    Kopitar
    Benn

I don't personally think Yakupov, Eberle or Hall are in top 10 in scoring. I do believe ALL 3 will be in top 25 scoring however. Lot's of pucks to go around in Edmonton and lots of guys on the score sheet, but I think to some degree they sorta cancel each other out a little bit.

    Lets do this ....

    Crosby
    Stamkos
    Tavares
    Giroux
    RNH
    Malkin
    Ovechkin
    Seguin
    Backstrom
    Eberle
    Hall
    Yakupov
    Toews
    Benn

Too early to rank in the young guys with the elite, so I'll rank them separately.

    Huberdeau
    Mackinnon
    Galchenyuk
    Granlund

*. Malkin (He'll fluctuate between 1-10, every year, based on injuries)
*. Hall (He'll fluctuate between 6-15, most years, based on injuries)

Note: If it's OK with the OP, perhaps we can change this title to something like "Predictions for Top 15 NHL Scorers in 2017-2018". That way, we can search for it and find it. The title is too generic and five years from now we'll never think to look for it.

Example: Here's a prediction thread for 2014-2015 that was made in November, 2011.

The way Tavares is playing in the Spengler Cup, I might have to reconsider my list. He's been an absolute beast out there. Dominant with the puck and far stronger on his skates. P Kane looks pretty shifty out there too.
