I was out christmas shopping with my lovely wife when I made this up. Hope someone enjoys it.

Twas the Night before Christmas
and no one is here,
No christmas card sent

Arenas are vacant
its not very nice,
No hockey played
on NHL ice.

Owners cry poor
southern teams may not stay,
Fans says so move them
To Canada eh.

Kane sends out a picture
of him posing with cash,
The media gets on him
and call him an ass.

Kane says. I do not get it
why all the talk?
Do they not know
I am a jock ?

I think todays players are weak
their heads and wrists too limp,
If they played in the 70s
They would be killed by Van Impe

Grapes says don't worry kids
have sweet dreams in your head.
There is over 3 billion reasons
the NHL is not dead.

To the adults it seems
they treat you like peons,
but next year for hundreds
Leafs fans can cheer Dion.
