How many goalies do you start?

If it's two, I'd try to swap Schneider out with Hossa in the deal and keep Schneider in Hossa's spot.

I love the fact that you're upgrading Hall to OV. But I'd really try to keep Schneider (if it's a start 2 goalie league)

If not, I'd do the deal - it's golden in a limited keeper.

Definitely hold onto and keep Schneider.

In a normal year... Schneider - 35 Wins + 5 SO = 70+15 = 95

I don't see any way that Hossa gets to 95 points in any way, shape, or form.

See if you can include Hossa in a deal for OV.

Agree. Keep Schneider here, especially if you dress two goalies weekly. He's far too valuable.

For Ovie I might try your Hall/Wheeler/Schultz straight up for Ovie. Or Hall/Wheeler/Shatts for Ovie + a utility player coming back. Frankly I love Wheeler and would rather see you offer one of Patches/Hossa/Marleau in a deal here. And I think Schultz is going to be a dandy and he's in an unreal place going fwd with the Oilers. With Piets in your lineup, I thought Shatts could be expendable here. Part of me also feels you are fine as you sit now. I would make a serious offer for Ovie, but wouldn't bend over backwards to get him. How many do you dress weekly?

Just to confirm, I would NOT do this deal. You're giving up a little too much.
Try to swoon him for Ovie without giving up Schneider in the deal. You have far too many assests you could use instead of Schneider.

Great advice, thank you everyone. I may just keep what I have as Call of Doughty had stated. Even though they are Oilers players and it makes me feel dirty to have them on my roster. I am kind-of excited to see how these young guys do fantasy wise.

I think you'd do your team a disservice if you didn't try to flip Hall (and any non-keepers) for OV. Once OV starts playing for Oates, I think you'll regret not going after him.

It looks to me like you guys keep 9 players plus your farm. The other guy needs Schneider in the deal to make it worthwhile for him. He really doesn't need extra forwards that are marginal upgrades to his keepers at best.

I would go back at him with Hall and Weber for OV to see if that sparks more interest and take Schneider off the table completely.

By the way, it appears that you plan to keep Marleau over Schneider and I think that is big mistake.
