Yeah, it's a running joke in my friend group that I just haven't seen any movies. I guess I would always rather watch a hockey game, read a book, or actually socialize. There's a lot of movies that I am going to have to binge-watch someday.

Watched Split the other night. Pretty disturbing movie. Not sure how I feel about it.

Anything good to watch on Netflix? I haven't watched a movie in a while, been binge watching Brooklyn 99 for some reason.

Watched Furious 7 on the weekend (not the new one out now) - liked it. Good popcorn flick. Interesting how they CGI'd Paul Walker into multiple scenes. Apparently his brothers were used after he passed for filming as they share similar statures. The ending may have even brought a tiny tear to me eye.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

Totally shed a few tears. Not as many as the end of 7 for obvious reasons. But nicely done.

Watched that Split trailer.... yowza... creepy. Hmmm. Now I have to watch it.

I've been watching a bunch of war movies lately so here's a few of the best ones on Netflix if you're into the genre.

    Lone Survivor (got added recently)
Sand Castle (got added recently and Netflix Original)
    Spectral (Netflix Original)
    13 Hours
    American Sniper
    The Hurt Locker
    Fury
    Inglorious Basterds
    BlackHawk Down (a true classic)
    Tears of the Sun
    Beast of no Nation

I've also watched Logan at the movies a few days ago and it got me wanting to rewatch some of my favourites on Netflix so here are a few from the comic book genre:

MadMax Fury Road (got added recently)
Captain America: Civil War (watch Winter Soldier, Avengers 2, and Ant-Man first if you haven't seen them; they're all good ones too)
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Deadpool
    John Wick
    The Book of Eli
    I Am Legend
    Sin City
    V For Vendetta
    300
    Snowpiercer

Nice, I actually liked the trailers so I'll give it a shot. The ''solid meh'' rating kinda has me thinking twice about it though

Ya, I like using them for certain movies but then again, they are wayyyy off when it comes to some of my all-time favorites:
    Bad Boys 1 and 2 (43%-23%)
    30 Days of Night (51%)
    Home Alone 1 and 2 (55%, 24%)
    13 Hours (50%)
    The Island (40%)

Dr Strange - had low expectations here, lots of superhero movies coming out that were not that good. But this holds together very well. A 7/10

Arrival - interesting and smart, but basically a long drawn out drama with the sci-fi in the background. In my opinion a good ending, so I give it a 6.5/10

Gold - love this matthew mcconaughey movie. Based on the Bre-X mining scam in the late 90s. Very, very true how junior mining companies get their money. Give it an 8.5/10 - but i am a mining guy so I actually live this and am biased here...

Passengers - OK sci-fi flick, but I would consider it more of a chick/date flick if you take. Yes, chick/date sci-fi !! 6/10

The Autopsy of Jane Doe - nice little intense slow building thriller. Just 2 guys in a room doing an autopsy. Sounds lame, however it turns out to be a pretty decent movie. 7.5/10
