I didn't see it yet, but I did see a scene where the driver is singing a Jon Spenser Blues Explosion song. I thought it was a good scene.

Dunkirk. Good movie. A little too intense with the music though. 7.5/10.

Let me preface this by saying that I don't see a ton of movies. At best, I'd say I'm typically 3 years or so behind the times.

With that said, I'll go even further back. The last movie I watched was a few weeks ago -- Spy Game, with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. I hadn't even remembered ever hearing about it before a co-worker mentioned in to me recently. Thought it was really entertaining (kind of the Bourne movies before the Bourne movies). Like an 8 out of 10.

Fast 8 - 8.5/10 One of the better storylines in the series ... the villain made me really upset, I actually got quite mad while watching it, rather than just relaxing and watching the action.
A Dog's Purpose 7/10 - Good movie, good story, it was kinda cool as some scenes were recorded in my home town and some people I know were stand-in actors.

I'll rep anyone who can sit through the entire Guardians II movie from this point forward. It was sooooo bad and mindless. I lasted 50 minutes then off it went. Glad I wasted $5 at the rental shop. Really liked the first one but this one sucked balls. Absolute mess. Dog's breakfast of a movie. Don't be fooled by the review scores. If you delve deeper in the IMDB site, you'll see many more bad reviews of this movie. No wonder the movie experience is going the way of the dodo bird. Trailer looked good - what a sucker I am.

Pass on it at all costs. 0/10
IF you can make it through it without playing on your phone or falling asleep , lmk I'll rep.
    COD
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

So the wife and I went to see Dunkirk the other night at the local Imax theatre. I will admit it, this was my first Imax movie.

As far as the Imax part of it goes, I wasn't overly impressed. It was louder but that was the only real difference I noticed. I wouldn't rush out to go to another Imax movie anytime soon and pay the extra money.

As far as the movie goes, I give it a 7/10. I appreciate the fact that they tried to stick to the facts and not "Hollywood" it up with a funky storyline that wasn't needed, but that being said, the movie was just meh for me. I love real-life movies but this one seemed to jump around a bit.

Ya Imax isn't really anything special. Just a money grab really.

I watched Baywatch the other night......it was actually pretty damn funny. I know it got horrible reviews but you never really know with comedies. I don't know why it was 2 hours long tho!! Holy crap....long comedy

Anyone seen Blade Runner 2049?? I have never been a fan of the original. I remember watching for the first time in university and not being too impressed. Watched it again last year and had the same feeling.

But this new one............WOW. Did I ever love it. From story, to tone, to music to cinematography. I loved every second.

I tried watching the original this past week (twice) and I literally fell asleep both times. Eventually I said **** it and threw in the towel, but the experience ruined my appetite for the new movie.

Is it watchable as a standalone movie without having seen the original?
