How are we only at ''We are getting a good vibe'' after 80+ days??? This is ridiculous!!

Egos came into play and little was done to actually help fix the problem at hand. Both sides were more inclined on ''not losing'' to the other party. Well in the end, we (the fans) have lost, whether there is a season or not. We will buy our tickets, overpay for our food and beverages at the concessions and buy the latest jerseys of our favourite team all while forgetting the ego battle that went on in 2012.

I understand that this is a business, however, a business is nothing without its clients. We love this sport too much to look elsewhere and the NHL knows this. It's just sad that the fans were never really considered in this lockout. If we were, we would not be at 80+ days and counting...

The only positive thing that I can get out of all this if the season is in fact lost is that there will most likely be a raffle done for the likes of Jones and MacKinnon (i.e. Crosby raffle). Would love to see Nathan in a Habs jersey

    D: Simashev, Willander, Lambos

Actually, this might lead to a bigger problem come to think of it. It worked well last time, saving the Pittsburgh franchise, but what if a top prospect lands in LA, NY, PHI or BOS (or any other top team)... More domination from the same teams year after year! Urrrggghhhh, I retract my comment about the raffle.

Ha! You're complaining about LA, NY, Phi, or Bos getting a top prospect while pushing for Montreal?

Top prospects in big markets = more overall revenue = more revenue sharing.

    Everyone wins.

Sadly, Montreal would have a better chance at a high pick if they played the season.

If they use the same rules as last time, Montreal would end up with the same 2% chance for top pick as LA, Boston, Detroit, etc.

Toronto, on the other hand, would be leading the pack at 6%

Gut feeling that we ARE going to have a season this year. ~52-57 game season.

I'd put a little kick in my step during this dark, dreary month (excluding the 25th of course).

I think good new will come out of NYC soon enough.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

We'll see. No one knows yet, including you Big_Ev. I am certainly hoping this is the end of it all though.

Some coaches have told their players to come back from Europe according to Kypreos.

A good sign (if that's even true)

But in the words of Pete Townshend "Won't Get Fooled Again"
