    Default professional trade advice (Rep)

Im looking to move michalek and Hodgson as they are both band-aid boys and i feel they still have good trade value.

Team in signature, who are some players i should target? I was thinking J.Staal as he has C,LW status...

    Others?

    Thx

I dunno that's a tough question, as there are so many possibilities...

That's like asking I have a million dollars what should I spend it on?

There's a lot of variation between leagues, so Michalek + Hodgson in 1 league might fetch Staal, in another it wouldn't land you diddly squat, so it's kinda hard for us to give you an answer of who to target.

Maybe post a few names that you are interested in and we could chime in if it's doable or not. Cause as it stands it's pretty hard for us to just throw darts for you...

Hodgson's trade value is very low right now with him having a broken hand, he will be out a while. Probably not a good idea to deal him unless you get a solid offer that makes sense. I wouldn't write Hodgson off as a band-aid boy just quite yet. He has a tremendous work ethic and commitment to fitness. Injuries are going to happen, its hockey.

Michalek on the other hand, coming off a career year goals wise and even though he only missed 5 games last season, it was concussion related, so thats even greater cause for concern really. Shop him around for sure, let us know who you might be able to get. Give us some names.

I would be surprised if you could get J. Staal for those guys in any kind of format...

I agree that you should be looking to deal both... especially michalek

It really depends on their respective owners, so if you are focused on a few guys, then look at their rosters to see if they could use Michalek/Hodgson. That is key. Also you could put them both on the trading block to see if any offers come in.

I agree. You need to target players with upside who are questionable going into this year, imo. I don't think that is Staal.

Kluu has a good list. Guys like JvR and Okposo would fit that category, for sure. Outside of them, maybe, maybe shoot for a Jaden Schwartz type. As stated, it depends on the owners and if they are competing or in a rebuild.

Your pieces would attract a team who is competing and has young players to spare.

I think if you offered both Michalek and Hodgson you could get the talks started. Have to start somewhere.
