Default Last pick-which winger to roll the dice on

I'm due to make my last pick in my draft. I need a winger, but I'm not going to grab a solid 40 point guy, I want to gamble and see what I can get out of a high skill guy. Some of my choices are...

    Pouliot
    Paajarvi
    McGinn
    Wolski
    Grabner
    Gerbe
    Kulemin
    Palmieri

I probably would only give the player a one or two year contract, so I eant to find someone that breaks out and eather brings me success or early trade bait. It is the signature league.

I'd go for Kulemin. He's shown he can be a guy who can get around 55 points and the skill is there. Wouldn't be so surprised if he got there again. The rest of the guys listed are imo either not capable of reaching that plateau or not likely to.

I like McGinn or Grabner. McGinn finished the year really strong with COL. Grabner, well, he's young & has hit 30+ goals already.

Agree with this 100%, Kulemin could potentially be a 60+ point guy. He definitely flies under the radar, especially given his recent crappy season.

Grabner is also a nice bounce-back candidate.

I'd go Kulemin as well, Grabner would be second choice. If your window was more than 2 years, I'd include Gerbe,

I'm going Wolski... After Backstrom, Ovechkin, Ribeiro and Laich, there's very little offensive depth in WSH. I could see Oates using a Backstrom, Ovechkin, Wolski PP1 unit for speed and offensive ability.

Wolski has a decent sh% in the seasons where he's spent an entire year with a team (11%).

Kulemin is a bit more a gamble because of the depth charts with Kessel, Lupul, JVR, Grabovski, Bozak and McArthur.

He's your safe bet for 40 points, but I wouldn't say he has much opportunity for more. Wolski is more boom or bust, but has a higher upside given the team situation.

Grabner for me... Explosive speed and a growing NYI team is like the prefect storm... currently lines up on the 2nd line with Frans Nielson which is unexciting... but they have improved young puck moving D...

Kulemin is also a good option - the talent is there, its oppertunity to get off a lower line role is what he needs....

I also like Gerbe but not in Buffalo...

If I was gambling I would go with Gerbe or Wolski, but seeing as you need to sign this guy to a contract for the whole year I'd probably opt for the safer albeit unsexy pick in Kulemin.

Wolski would be my choice, should easily get top six minutes with Washington.

I just don't trust many of those guys to be honest, but I like Wolski the most.

I ended up going with my gut and took Palmieri. I was going to grab Wolski, but he got picked up right before me.

Think Wolski getting snagged may be the best thing for you. Palmieri could be a great option this year. He was who I was going to suggest so I'm glad you grabbed him
