Default Sedin, Sedin, Wheeler for Couture, Huberdeau, Vanek and Cammalleri

    Hi!
I read a lot on this forum but never posted. But now I need help. Got the fantasy report and everything there is for sale on this website that I really appreciate.

    Our leagues is 12 teams, 12 to 14 keeper. 3 LW 3C 3RW 4 defense and 1 goalie.
Points only. Cap is 85 millions

    My team is;
    Lucic - Crosby - Perry
    Hartnell - Couture - Kessel
    Filppula - Getzlaf - Vanek
Edler - Pietrangelo - Phaneuf and Mcdonagh.
    Lundqvist

My "spares" are Cammalleri, Eakin, Atkinson, Elliott, spurgeon and Halak.

I think I'm close to the victory. But I think my LW can be a problem. Or there is place for improvement

So someone offered me this: H Sedin, D Sedin and Wheeler for Couture, Vanek, Cammalleri (because of the cap hit) and Huberdeau.

Here is what I have in the farm team : Huberdeau, Schwartz, R Johansen, Zibanejad, D Hamilton, Mark Mcneill, Calvin Pickard, Duncan Siemens(!"/$/"##), Ty Rattie, MArk Stone, Johan Larsson, Shane Prince, Ryan Murray, Mike Winther and Jordan Schmaltz

am I splitting hair here ?

Sorry for my english, it's not at the state of the art

I say yes. You're basically acquiring 2 locks for at least PPG and possibly a third for Couture, who I never see being a PPG, he is a better "real" player than fantasy asset, Vanek, who is injury prone and no real lock to get 80, Cammy who you can't even trust to stay healthy and I don't see hitting 80 and you don't play anyways, and Huberdeau, who is tough to give up but your team is win now anyways. Pull the trigger.

    You would then have

    D. Sedin - Crosby - Perry
    Lucic - H. Sedin - Kessel
    Hartnell - Getzlaf - Wheeler

I like the Sedins & Wheeler.
    That's a LW/C/RW that you get.

You are giving away two Cs (Couture, Hubs) and some crap wingers. I believe Cammy may even be playing C this year.
Vanek may even have a down year... he's had so many years of chemisty with Derek Roy who got shipped out.
Buffalo has centers as Hodgson (? how good will he be - and I read he just busted his hand ?) and Ott, maybe Ennis? I mean... I'm not really fond of the Buffalo forward situation.

I'm totally on board with the Sedins & Wheeler here.

Um err aahh...but what if Logan Couture ends up being the best player ever....

Don't be that guy who's too scared to take an obviously one-sided deal.

Basically you're shifting Couture and Huberdeau for the Sedins. Sedins trump that pair if for no other reason that their name value giving you a more valuable trade chip should you decide to flip them (especially as a pair).
Vanek for Wheeler is pretty much a wash. Vanek has more upside but I don't see him as more than a 30g-30a player at this point, and Wheeler can easily hit 50-55pts.

    Grow some balls.
    Accept the trade.
Come back with a deal that actually requires more than 2 seconds of thought and a rudimentry knowledge of hockey.
    Yes, I'm a bit of a dick.

PS. you get points for not mentioning REP (which nobody gives a shit about) and actually naming the players in the deal in the post title.

Another one for accept, getting 2 star players back for depth pieces is always a good trade off.

this is a no brainer, The sedins even have a decent cap hit since they took a discount to stay together.

Also walrus is right about the rep thing. I have found you get better responses if you just state the trade rather than say rep will be given.... just give the rep when you read the responses (at least the posts that deserve it.... ie not this post since i actually add nothing to the topic, and only really posted since i liked the tangent)

Take the proven player over the potential star is a rule of thumb in fantasy sports, with some exceptions.

I would take that and run, the Sedins are as consistent as they come and when you have both of them on one fantasy team, even better!

    Wheeler is no slouch either.
