    Wow, big question.

Several bounce back types that I think are worth considering are: Crosby, Getzlaf, Duchene, Stastny, Hemsky, Mueller, Roy, Tanguay, Ovechkin, Vanek, B. Richards, M. Green, Vermette, P. Kane, Thornton, Marleau, Lecavalier, Price, Nicklas Backstrom, Jeff Carter - (bounce backs to greater and lesser degrees of course and some not so certain for sure, but the potential is there.

Breakouts: I don't forsee a lot actually - S. Elliott, Okposo, van Reimsdyck are some I wonder about.

Newbies - Granlund, Cervenka, Tarasenko maybe

Bounce backs are all perception, so I'm not gonna touch that one.

Potential Breakouts - Voracek, Purcell, Schenn (not a fan of Schenn, but some people think he will), Wheeler, Okposo (now or never), JVR, J. Staal, Hodgson, E. Kane

Newbies - Granlund, Huberdeau, Baertschi, Cervenka, Yakupov (Obviously), Galchenyuk, Grigorenko, Caron

Ah, yes. The eternal question in fantasy...

One guy to keep an eye on is Tlusty as a hidden gem. J. Staal and Semin's arrival likely have scratched him off most lists, but there looks to be one spot open in the top six and he is in the mix for it. He clicked very well with Staal down the stretch and is currently doing very well overseas, so if he can stick then he may continue his upward trend. If not, he's totally worthless.

Another hidden gem IMO is Jeff Petry. Clearly it looks to be the Justin Shultz show right now, but Petry was running things down the stretch and will be at worst a 2nd PP option. Outside of Shultz, there are not many options that can be counted on, and JS hasn't played a game in the NHL yet - Whitney is so fragile and Potter was likely a one year wonder. Lots of room for Petry dish to make some noise. I can see 35+ points with he potential for more.

    Bounce Back- Andy McDonald.

He says he is feeling the healthiest and most upbeat going into a season as he ever has. So maybe a shortened season would be perfect for him this year and when his game is ON he can be point per game guy even with the offense by committee in St.Louis.

There is many of you who think that Purcell can do at least 10 pts better than the 65 he had ??????

if you think of im as a breakout it has to be at least 10 pts !!

bounce back- ovi/backstrom ( both will get back to 90+ or neither will)
-getzlaf/perry (both in contract years and bounce back by getz will up perry's totals)
-p kane (i suspect all of chi will have a better year than last year)

    breakout- Benn hands down.

Ha. It certainly is! I think every fantasy GM has a few players in the back of their mind that they hope will make them look like a genius in their hockey pool. And I'm just curious to see what the general consensus is among the Dobber community.

Just like the Pro-Line commercials tell you to do, you have to listen to your sports-gut!! Ha.

I think JVR's breakout is 2013, not this year. Will need a year to get adjusted to a new/shittier team.

Perry/Getz are on contract years and I'd want to see both finish top 15 scoring.

Duchene will never be more available than he is now. Scoop him up before he value returns.

Letang and Yandle had disappointing 40ish point seasons. Im looking for Yandle @ 50 and Letang @ 60.

Brad Richards will be closer to 80 than 60.

Ryan Miller's numbers suffered from his concussion. He'll be back to his career normals.

Lots of mentions for Getzlaf/Perry as bounce-back candidates and I agree with that but let's not also forget Bobby Ryan. He's going to bounce back too. He's got lots to prove this year.

Duchene and Zajac are others who're going to bounce-back.

I'm calling this: Shawn Matthias will break out (and by that I mean he'll grab himself a top-6 spot and produce at 50 point pace).
