    Default Thoughts?Anisimov vs Ruutu or..Cervenka?

    Hey Dobber peoples!

Alright, I drafted Anisimov late, looking for possible sleeper points and pp points, but overall my league counts G,A,PIM,+/-,ppp,shg,hits, blks
Knowing this, would you guys take Tuomu Ruutu instead?
I think with Carolina being revamped, there should be plenty of scoring to go around and he should be PP2... Anisimov should be PP2 as well.. but much weaker team.. less hits, but with some shg and possibly a bit more icetime on his hands .. maybe?

    Who would you guys take?

    Maybe you'd grab Cervenka instead? possibly Iginla's C? ...

Any thoughts are always appreciated from you all!

I'd look at your team and identify where the weak spots are. If it's goals and assists and you wanna go with a sleeper, then keep Anisimov. However, if your need better all around stats, including PIMS and hits, Ruutu would be a better fit. Without looking at your roster, it's hard to be sure, but I'm inclinded to thing Ruutu would probably be an upgrade.

Ruutu is the best roto-player of these and I'd easily take him. He can give you around 50 points and up to 300 hits. That's golden.

I'd probably take Ruutu as well, but I wonder if the serious drop in hits from two years ago to last season was a change that could be permanent (i.e. a scorekeeper change at home who is less generous, or a conscious decision from Ruutu to play a tamer style so that he doesn't get injured as often).

Just something to consider. None of the other options REALLY stand out...we still don't really know where Anisimov will line up and with who....and Cervenka is a bit of a wildcard. Probably has the highest point upside but a low chance of hitting it in my opinion.

I believe Ruutu played through some injury last season - atleast early in the season. He suffered some lower body injury in the camp and had a poor start to the season.

Also after he came back from the injury that kept him out few weeks in February, his hits per game raised to 3 (45 hits in the last 15 games) when prior to that it was only 1.9 (106 hits in 57 games).

    You guys are great,

Thank you! I was pretty much thinking Ruutu .. but had drafted Anisimov as a sleeper.. But with Semin And J.Staal joining Skinner, Jussi and E. Staal.. that's a way more offensive top 6.. and since Ruutu is rather well payed for the next few years (4mil + I think) I'll assume he'll get first kick at being in the top 6 over others...

.. and here I thought we might have had hockey soon.. dammit!

    Thanks again though!
