Looking at his team name it appears to be a dummy team - not sure why it's needed though, we (Adams) don't have one.

LOL, DSP actually was drafted in the last rounds of the Smythe!

dummy commish was used for set up purposes. It was an after thought that the original manager had to be the one drafting, thus making it impossible for the co-commish to draft. In all other cases, the dummycommish was assigned as 2nd-manager, but not for the Patrick Division.

Oh I can relate Pengwin. Like I said in the Adams thread I had to type our whole draft result out so I could get a look and format that didn't peg my OCD meter.

And I'm just a lazy bum... I just copied and pasted the first 6 rounds and pressed delete a whole bunch of times... Then got too lazy for that so I just took screenshots!

I think it would be interesting to do an ADP for players in the 4 leagues, then see who got the best and worst "deals".

Just putting it out there, I only took Markstrom when I did because I ran out of time and I had him queued up, just to keep an eye on him for another couple of rounds... I also meant to take Weber in round 4 but I ran out of time...

Round 1 : So I end up picking 8th and I'm trying to figure out which goaltender to pick and Crosby is still sitting there. How can I not take Sid, especially since the top 3 goaltenders were gone?

Round 2 : No doubt I'm taking a goalie, I'm hoping for Rask or Smith, but they are gone so I basically hinge my draft on Loungo getting traded ASAP and Schneider is the undisputed starter in Vancouver cause its not like a hotshot goaltender lost his starting job to some past his prime veteran. (shush Timmy).

Round 3 : Backes. I love him in this format especially with his C/RW, but I might have reached for him. I think I panicked when Brown went a couple picks before.

Round 4 : Wanted Backstrom. Settled for a bounce back year from Getzlaf.

Round 5 : Wanted either Niemi or Hillar here. Niemi went the pick before me so Hillar it was. Hopefully Hillar and Scheider are enough to keep me in the top half of the goaltending stats.

Round 6 : I wanted Ott here, but I had no defence yet. I picked Johnson cause he should be the guy in Columbus and I was hoping Ott would drop another round. Ott ended up going 3 picks later so someone was happy with my choice. :P

Rounds 7 - 9 : Picking up wingers with dual eligibility in Staal, Doan and Semin and hoping Semin has something to prove.

Rounds 10 - 12 : I like to think Kunitz and Lecavalier are solid picks here. Only time will tell. Hoping Ehrhoff spent some of his money and it wont weigh him down as much this year.

Rounds 13 - 15 : Malone, Foligno and Neil. Hits and PIMs I hope. Actually the Foligno pick was autodrafted from my queue when Rogers took a timeout on me. Not too upset, I had him targeted, just a couple rounds later.

Rounds 16 - 18 : Veteran D and possible sleeper in Brouwer. At least he hits.

Rounds 19 - 21 : I don't know... Just a hunch Scrivens could end up being the starter. If not.. to the waiver wire. Morrow and Robidas could be decent depth.

Rounds 22 - 25 : Pretty much lottery picks. If Thomas gets traded and starts somewhere hes gold. If not I have an awesome mascot. Niskanen seemed to be the best available dman at this point cause doesnt everyone get points in Pittsburgh? And finally Orlov and Shaw, young guys with upside in theory. In theory communism works.

Overall : I think my team is solid, but I might be depending on too many bounce back years from players. I'm looking at you Getzlaf and Semin plus I really need Schneider to be a dependable starter. Its the first time I've been in a draft this big and I'm not sure if i valued players properly with the hits category involved.

Surprises : Im still shocked Crosby dropped to me at 8, but then if you look at the other drafts and the expert draft, early goaltending seems to be the theme. Kipper dropping to late 4th round was surprising, could end up being huge.

Side Note : I wish I had drafted Brooks Laich. I have to change my team name cause I didn't get OV and Laich gives me ideas.....

This is my first 1 year roto league and I'm not used to playing on yahoo, so a little out of my element. I'm in a few full keepers on CBS. Going into the draft figuring goalies will go early I was determined to lock up 3 starters early as that has worked well for me in the past. Most of the real big names are gone by #11 pick anyway so I was fine with taking Fleury there.

    1. (11) Marc-Andre Fleury G
    2. (22) Zdeno Chara D
    3. (43) Jaroslav Halak G
    4. (54) Nicklas Backstrom C
    5. (75) Craig Anderson G
    6. (86) Dany Heatley LW, RW
    7. (107) Alexandre Burrows LW, RW
    8. (118) Keith Yandle D
    9. (139) Kevin Shattenkirk D
    10. (150) James van Riemsdyk LW
    11. (171) Steve Downie LW, RW
    12. (182) Brayden Schenn C
    13. (203) Kyle Okposo RW
    14. (214) Ryan McDonagh D
    15. (235) Craig Smith C, RW
    16. (246) Devin Setoguchi RW
    17. (267) Adam Henrique C
    18. (278) Matt Read RW
    19. (299) Brad Boyes C, RW
    20. (310) Roman Josi D
    21. (331) Carl Hagelin LW
    22. (342) Jordan Leopold D
    23. (363) David Booth LW
    24. (374) Jonathan Bernier G
    25. (395) Nathan Gerbe C, LW

Round 2 - Felt weird to take a D so early but Chara is a roto monster
Round 3 - Make sure to land another Goalie
Round 4 - Backstrom is a steal there IMO, bounce back season could get back to 90+ points with good peripherals
Round 5 - Not a huge fan of Anderson but waiting any later would mean a marginal 3rd goalie.
6-10 - Was determined not to load up on D with all the tempting names on the board. Got a few solid dual eligibility guys and still landed Yandle and Shattenkirk in Round 8 and 9.
11-15 All decent picks, as long as guys like Schenn and Okposo take the next step this year, maybe too early for Smith but I was feeling the rare pressure of being a little weak at C which has never happened before.
16-20 Filling in the 4th liners with some good upside but again really counting on guys to take the next step.
21-25 Bench picks, if Bernier gets traded, good trade bait. I'm not used to no cap on goalies so taking an extra that late seems like a worthwhile risk, otherwise, off to the waiver wire.

Comments and critiques are welcome. I was going into this putting a lot of value on dual eligibility, which I'm not used to having as an option. Would like a more veteran team in a 1 year league but this roster has a lot of potential. Hope we get started soon, good luck guys!

Hmmmm..... Did they start a different thread somewhere else? I only see 2 teams posted and most of the comments are from people in different divisions. I guess there isn't much interest until the lockout ends.

This is the only thread. Perhaps reach out to them via your league board? But yeah, some people might be waiting until a potential season to begin.
