Looks like a good trade, pretty sure we haven't had a trade in the Smythe
    yet.

Roll of the Dice (NoWayOut) receives: Tomas Fleischmann
    Nosferatootoo (horrorfan) receives: Alexandre Burrows

I'm willing to sacrifice some offense and right now Burrows isn't in the great position to produce offensively, but will give me consistent grit if I choose to use him right away. My other LW are Marleau, Moulson and Kunitz starting and R.Bourque on the bench. I'm hoping Kesler returns soon which should help Burrows, but of course the PP time will be limited but I'm quite strong there. Fleischmann is solid and should help NWO with consistent offensive production and aside from some unexpected early PIM this season, he didn't do enough for me grit-wise so I was willing to part with him. PIM and Hits are by far my two weakest skater categories.

It should help both of our teams, but by how much remains to be seen.
Well if I don't pull my head out of my bum and quit missing the deadline for setting each week's rosters it won't matter what Flash does going forward. Somebody has to score in FLA, and as my team name implies I'm rolling the dice on Flash being that guy.

Those are the NHL leaders in Saves.
Both on the same team!? Crazy!

In general you guys have HIGHER highs...
(that's interesting... that means you also probably have LOWER lows).

Part of the reason I believe our league is very competitive... people are more bunched up.

Yah i have both Miller and Dubynk and I am running away with Saves. That being said I am very weak in GAA!! Picked up Khudobin and paid quite heavily for him this week with the hopes that he ends up getting a streak of starts later in the season when Rask is nursing his next injury

    Adams update 28/02:

    1. Nosferatootoo 121 (yours truly)
    2. HOSERS 103.5
    3. Miami Blades 98.5
    4. RikkiTikki 98
    5. The Flying Elbows 94
    6. Great Whites 83.5
    7. PsykoPucKiller 83
    8. Nordiques 79
    9. Prkal8r 76.5
    10. Roll Of The Dice 76
    11. Pad My Stats 75.5
    12. Cyber Tuna 68.5
    13. Vozzy81 59.5
    14. The Spezzaghetis 45
    15. Maters Taters 39

It's good to have this lead but I'm not being complacent, as I know the teams below me (who seem to rotate a lot between 2nd and 5th) could easily go on a run and climb the standings quickly. There is still a lot of movement in many categories so a long way to go.

    Wow... 121pts.
I touched that for a day or two.
Currently the leader in the Smythe is around 102-108pts.

Just curious, I was wondering how the Adams stacks up to the Smythe in terms of "overall stats" for the entire 15 teams in league. It would indicate the overall strength/activity of managers.

Here are this morning (Thursday) totals in the Smythe:

    Skaters:
GP: 4830 (indicates how well GMs are getting their skaters in for games)
    G: 1033
    A: 1781
    +/-: +104
    PIM: 3484
    PPP: 985
    SOG: 10190
    HIT: 5726

    Goalies:
    GP: 414
    W: 204
    GAA: 2.516 (average)
    SV: 10288

Made a trade with Maters Taters today:

    Maters Taters receives: Matt Moulson
    Nosferatootoo receives: Scott Hartnell

MT needed more offense and I was looking for a bit more grit to boost a tightly fought PIM category (3 managers within 3 PIM) and to also gain some ground on the next highest group in hits and prevent the chaser from catching me. Of course, if he can also produce anything close to last season offensively then I'll be very happy. Moulson has been great and I'm sure he'll continue his offensive production but I was willing to part with some of it as I'm tops in G, SOG and PPP and very few are close behind for the moment. A small bonus to acquiring Hartnell is if the Flyers' offensive production continues to improve that could mean more wins for my Bryzgalov.

Made another trade - this time with Great Whites.

Great Whites receives: Horton and Ryder
    Nosferatootoo receives: Callahan and McGinn

My goal was to boost hits while still giving me some decent offense, and I wanted another depth LW for balance so McGinn helps there. Ryder has been solid but was willing to part with him. I think he tends to produce most often when he's been on my bench anyway! Horton has been average so far and although the Bruins have more games coming up I'd rather have something to show for it on quiet offensive nights. At least I'll get hits from Callahan.

    Overall update:

I'm still leading the league by 15 points or so but I'm not complacent. Hopefully these moves, smart lineup decisions and waiver pickups will keep me in control. It's a long way to go though.

Here's my updated roster for those who care:

    C: Tavares, E.Staal, Getzlaf, Bergeron
L: Marleau(C), Kunitz, Hartnell, McGinn, Beleskey
R: Iginla, Burrows(L), Callahan, Vrbata, Kopecky, Boll
D: Wideman, Robidas, Sbisa, McQuaid, Harrison, Morris, Erskine (managing with my mediocre D!)
    G: Bryzgalov, Pavelec, Scrivens

    Summary of trades:

Feb 3: Sent Fleischmann, Received Burrows
Feb 28: Sent Moulson, Received Hartnell
    Mar 7: Sent Ryder/Horton, Received Callahan/McGinn

Damn hf, that's a BIG lead.
Can't believe you could pull this off with an auto-drafted team!!! Im-pressive!
