I havnt heard much about him recently and he is a FA in my league, a few questions.
Has he still confirmed he will not be playing this year?
    and
Because of a lockout should I pickup him up now for next year? dropping pavelec or dubynk?

He is still planning on sitting this one out. I wouldn't drop either Pavelec or Dubnyk for him though. Even if the lockout goes all year long these guys could be more valuable for next season. Timmy is on his way out IMO and too big of a risk to drop a good starting goaltender for.

Agree with southpaw20 - don't drop a starter for him for sure - he may never come back.

No way in hell I'd drop Dubnyk or Pavelec for someone that may not even play another NHL game.

I'm with those who think he's played his last NHL game. He seems like a guy who could be more than happy living out his life on the salary he made and the accomplishments he achieved. Plus, it's not like he's still in his 20s.

I'm worried about him outside of hockey. I'm not sure how he was prior to winning the Cup, but the change in what he shows people has been pretty extreme in just one calendar year. Even if he comes back after his year off, I'm worried about his mindset.

thing is neither are keepers for next season and i don't see anyone picking them up as everyone kept 3 goalies in a keep 7 and I just drafted whichever goalies i wanted late. Heck some people even have 4 goalies in a start 2 set up. it just seems like a minimal risk for a good trade bait reward if he comes back at all. I would probably drop Jstaal as a keeper if he floats around 50-60 points in Carolina at the end of the year.
would it be worth a move at the end of the year to hold him over next summer?
