Stafford, for me... even against the Niners.
And even with RGIII playing the Rams.

NFL team scouting is a heck-of-a-lot better than college scouting.
I'm not investing in a rookie QB until he shows it for 6-7 straight games.
Until then, I consider there's a chance that NFL scouting will figure him out.

    Trivia Question of the Day:
What do RGIII and Mr.Miyagi (Kirate Kid) have in common?

If Garcon plays, I would start RG3.

Stafford by a mile for me. I have no faith in RG3 yet, 1 game doesn't make him a starter for me.

    RGIII.

You have arguably two elite talents at QB. One has a tough matchup and the other squares of against a cup cake team. The 9ers held their own against what many would consider the league's most potent offense. Rodgers has MORE weapons than Stafford, and that really stresses a defense. Matt has less weapons, and his biggest one isn't 100%, battling a bad foot. The 9ers have what many consider the best defense in the league. I'd rather take my chances with a stud vs. a weak defense than a dominant one.

    Here's another Stafford vote.

Since: 1. Teams can't run on the Niners, and 2. Niners should be up in this game....as a result of this I expect Stafford to air it out a lot today which should bode well for his stats. There's also the fact RGIII only has 1 career game under his belt, and I don't think he warrants start over a top 5 QB just yet.

    ?

I'm confused here. Why are you referring to Rodgers..? I assume that was a typo.

RG3 is miles away from being elite. He is not a fantasy stud, he is a bench player or a deep-league QB and it will take at least a month or two for him to evolve to holding more value. He will be lucky to finish in the top 12 QBs this season. The Redskins have a subpar offensive line, a shaky array of receivers, and an inconsistently-used vertical offense. And Stafford has infinitely more weapons then RG3. Also, the Rams are not a cupcake team. Their secondary is very good.

You HAVE to start Stafford here. Sitting him for RG3 is one of those things that will cost you your fantasy season. Don't get in the habit of even having this debate. How can you expect to win a league if you are sitting one of your top picks? Why take him there anyway? You can't spot-start your top players.

    Of course I meant RG3 - he's a friggin' fantasy football God.

    Sigh...

Still Stafford for me-- kudos to all those who had the stones to start RG3 over a bonafide top guy-- but in a mathematical game like fantasy, you're doing yourself a disservice if you sit one of your top 3 picks. Statistically speaking it backfires a helluva lot more than it pays off, so I like to play the numbers game.

One of the guys in the DobberFootball league had:
    RGIII (31+pts)
    T.Richardson (26+pts).

His two rookies outscored my entire fantasy team (50.16pts) this week.
    {sigh}
