I'd keep JVR/Halak. More proven in goal, and I'm not sure OEL's production will reflect his overall abilities (for now, at least, if Yandle is moved that may change).
I'd think about moving Okposo - not sure he has the hockey sense to become what many were expecting him to.
Hey Angus, thanks for doing this!
I'm trying to upgrade my keepers, in a 10 team, points only league, keep 7. I have 3 trade scenarios that I have proposed to other GM's and I'm wondering what you think would be best for my team, this year and moving forward
Current Keepers
Backstrom
D. Sedin
H. Sedin
Kovalchuk
Parise/St. Louis (one of)
E. Karlsson
Price
I'm looking to use my assets to get my hands on Crosby or Ovie. If I were to get one, here is how it would play out.
Scenario #1
I trade: D. Sedin, Parise and Kesler
I get: Crosby + 2 throw-ins
Keeper forwards would be:
Backstrom
Crosby
H. Sedin
Kovalchuk
St. Louis
Scenario #2
I trade: D. Sedin, Parise and Kesler
I get: OV + 2 throw-ins
Keepers forwards would be:
Backstrom
OV
H. Sedin
Kovalchuk
St. Louis
Scenario #3 - if Crosby owner wants more (he needs a goalie)
I trade: St. Louis for Miller
Then I trade: D. Sedin, Parise and Miller
I get: Crosby + 2 throw ins
Keepers forwards would be:
Backstrom
Crosby
H. Sedin
Kovalchuk
Kesler
What do you think is best for my team? Should I try to make one of these trades or stand pat with what I have. My team "as-is" is likely the best group of keepers in the league, but I can't resist going after Crosby or OV as their owners have weak teams and need to make big moves.
Thanks!

If the NHL goes into lockout mode, and the schedule is shortened and even condensed like the NBA one recently was, what kind of players are best to look for, those who can thrive in 50-60 games that wouldn't in 82? i.e. the older guys with less endurance like Selanne.

I am in an 11 Manager, points only league. We are allowed to keep 8 players for the next season. I am planning on keeping these 6. I am unsure on the last 2 keepers.
Nicklas Backstrom
Taylor Hall
Evgeni Malkin
Zach Parise
Alex Pietrangelo
Shea Weber
For the last 2 spots I am debating the following players.
Patrik Elias
Scott Hartnell
Patrick Marleau
Marian Hossa
Jason Pominville
Angus what are your thoughts?
Who souls you chose for your pool? Kessel or Backstrom from Washington ?
