2012-2013 Points Only Predictions

Last year we did a spreadsheet that everyone could give their predictions on players point totals based on 82 games played. Does anyone know who started that, and if we can get that spreadsheet started again. I would take a stab at creating that sheet, but it would be so much easier if we could just re-use the same setup.

I know it was really nice to use in my league setup, plus it cut down on threads about "please reank these four guys".

EDIT: Thanks to Penguin7 and gerbernomics I have created a new Google Spreadsheet.

Pick a column, Label the top with something, put in your predictions.
Google saves all changes automatically so just try not to touch any of the stuff on the left of the Black column.

There are now two sheets, Forwards and Defense on the bottom of the spreadsheet, under the "left/right" scroll bar.

Thanks Penguin, I created a new spreadsheet, and I'll maintain it over the next couple weeks if everyone wants to join in the predictions.

Whoa, this is awesome. I'd do it myself of course but I have enough trouble turning a computer on let alone messing with a spread sheet!! Will you give us the link in this thread? You are a Sly Monkey!! Why re invent the wheel, and I think guys will love this again this year. Gerbernomics, thanks where every you are!

That said, and maybe it's not my business, but I'm not sure it'd be right to include the info from the different guides. These guys, Dobber included, put a lot of work into their predictions and rightly charge a price for it. Taking their work and making it avalaible to everyone for free kinda defeats that. Anyway, that's just my two cents.

I paid for Dobber's guide.

That said, perhaps you can make a separate spreadsheet with all of the magazine predictions. Then maybe you can combine them & average that. And then you could put a column in the public shared spreadsheet that says "Magazines". You don't need to reference which ones you are using, don't even tell us. But it would be good to see how we stack up.

Actually, I've found that one of the very, very best predictions come from going to betting sites. They actually have their a$$ on the line for their numbers. Last year I tracked bodog's numbers (I called it *Vegas* in your, gerbernomics, spreadsheet). Those numbers were the best of any predictions from last year.

is column F the AVG of what we are imputting?? i.e it would be nice to see the avg of all of the numbers once the sheet is done.

I get where you guys are coming from ........ perhaps gerbernomics could just list them as magazine A, B, C etc .... then we dont know which is which and one would have to buy them to find out, but it also doesnt just wash out all the numbers with an average of 5 sources ...... just a thought

what i will do in this case is simply put mag avgs, from 5 or 6 different guides, to insulate the fact that a lot of work goes into those numbers and they are pay guides.
