Hope so...I took a gamble on him in my roto league and the caps playing the next couple of nights. He may not start in the top 6, but I suspect we will see him slot in on the PP2 somehere at the very least.

    This bear isn't sleeping anymore.

Green is awake. Ovy is awake. Backstrom is awake. Backstrom has 3+14 in his last 11 games. Ovy has 14+7 in his last 13 games. Green has 5+2 in his last 5 games.

And there's still the third period left tonight.

#Caps have promoted Olie Kolzig to goaltender coach. He served as associate goaltending coach the past two seasons.

Kuznetsov would stay in KHL " For the right contract".

Hey caps fans. need some help assessing Washington players outside of the big 3 (OV, Back & Green). Particularly Johansson, grabo and brouwer. Dobber has grabo and brouwer at 55pts. Is that accurate? Does brouwer loose his 1st PP spot to grabo? Should johansson be taken before them just cause of his linemates.

Grabovski = sleeper of the year this season. Will be a solid late-round pick.

    60+ points. Book it fellas.

Holtby's crappy start in the opener last night has me a little nervous.

I don't follow the caps much - how much rope do you guys think Holtby will be given before Oates opens up competition for the #1 spot?

I'm witchya. Holtby was my keeper goalie (over Price). I am hoping that was but a blip on the ol' radar.

On a related note, I drafted Backstrom (mid-late rounds), as my gut is giving good vibes about a nice bounce back year for him. Or is that just the cherry peppers I ate??

Bomm my brother, haven't seen you around in a while.

Ironic that you mention Holtby/Price... I was faced with that EXACT same dilemma the other day (http://forums.dobbersports.com/showthread.php?t=158446) and ended up with Holtby (only because of my blind love for Kessel).

What was your thought process in keeping Holtby over Price?

yeah good to be back into it, blayze. Just work-work-work....my only excuse.

Well that $$ league I run, is a 12 team multicat, limited keeper (8) and d-men scoe 2 for G/A.

Long story short, Iknew a lot of goalies were going to be dumped back into the redraft pool, so i knew AI wanted to keep only one.

goalie cats are W, L, Saves (.1), and SV%...and shutouts too, of course.

For me, the deciding factor to keep Holtby over Price was primarily the Wins and Saves cats. I also didn't like some of the gossipy news coming out at the end of last season re Price and his practice habits. I normally don't pay no mind to those types of news releases but theses reports struck a chord for some reason. Not logical, I am afraid.
