Can't wait to see how Benn looks with Seguin in the regular season. I really think he's in for a monster season.

I am likely in the minority here, but I'd easily take Nichuskin for fantasy hockey.

Now there is a strong conviction about a prospect that almost nobody sees as having higher upside than Barkov (let alone risk).
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Scouts are much smarter than me, so the chances I am wrong are obviously quite high. I think Barkov will be a better player, but Nichuskin has a lot of tools to make him a great guy for fantasy hockey.

How has Seguin looked thus far?

I know it is early, but not having seen any Dallas games, I really have no idea if he is looks like a star in the making or the flake who was shipped outta Boston.

I have been offered a monster deal that includes Seguin so I would REALLY appreciate any insight into his performance so far and his upside in Dallas. Is this guy gonna be a star?

    Thanks

    some notes from twitter today:

    Mike Heika ‏@MikeHeika 3m
Rich Peverley getting time with first line and first power play. He could be moving up quickly.

    Mike Heika ‏@MikeHeika 4m
Dan Ellis will play one of next two games. That's as far as Lindy Ruff would go. I'm guessing Saturday at Minnesota.

well, cole really had no place being on the first line or the first PP... so this isn't surprising. not sure peverly really has a place on them either, but for now he is a better option.

regarding seguin... he has looked FAST. him and benn are still figuring things out, but getting cole off that line will certainly help.

What's happening with Goligoski? Seems to have fallen out of favour a bit early on here in the season.....

    Stars lines this morning: Benn-Seguin-Peverley; Whitney-Eakin-Chiasson; Roussel-Horcoff-Nichushkin;MacDermid-Fiddler-Goligoski

What the..? RT @StarsInsideEdge Alex Goligoski skating as a fwd this morning on the 4th line. Peverley back on top line. Nichuskin on 3rd.

    Mike Heika ‏@MikeHeika 12m
Stars trying Alex Goligoski at forward this morning. Also practicing with a tennis ball instead of a puck. Not sure what either means.
has he been so bad on D that they might as well try him somewhere else?

seems to be because Cole missed practice.

    Mike Heika ‏@MikeHeika 1m
Lindy Ruff said they were just using Alex Goligoski to help fill in as a forward today. Unlikely that he will play forward any time soon.

This whole D core is having major issues atm. Even Dillons play is ehh. Give GoGo his blanky back in Dillon. Horcoff was supposed to help defensively and has been turrable. Trade rumors continue...

Wonder if MDZ would work this year?

Nuke is getting better each game. Good to see him playing his size a bit, doling out hits moving bodies. He seems to be a few steps ahead of the play, just needs to be on same page with his line mates. A trip to the Wizard would do wonders.

New system new faces new coach. Up and Downs bound to happen. Ruff is bout to break the nice guy routine, bet on that and some line shakeups.

    Shades of Detroit...

One year on the job for Jim Nill and he leads his Stars to the playoffs. Nicely done. I like this Dallas team!

No doubt... that trade for Seguin changed the franchise.

Jim Nill, Seguin..... Two things that made a huge difference.... Sometimes giving the young guy the C isn't good, but damn, something about the compete and effort in Benn -- it's almost as if he's dragging the whole team along with him..

Dallas will be a tough draw in the playoffs - they are young, hungry and are ramping up at the right time. That top line is beastly and Lehtonen could steal a few games when he's "on."

Gotta like them out shooting STL cause they usually don't give up 40 shots.

Was a big game for them and they showed up to play, scary.
