    Default Anton Zlobin

He had 76 points in 66 games played this season and 10 pts in 11 playoff games this season.

Just curious to see where you guys think he will get drafted?

I think a team with multiple picks in round 3/4 would take him

I'll guess 6th round. Passed over last year and not out of this world production-wise.

With guys like Zlobin, I think most teams figure it's easier to sign him than use a pick on him. If you draft him and he has no interest in your club, then it was a waste.

    Good guess.

Pittsburgh took Zlobin in the 6th round. Solid low risk - high reward draft pick at that point but most likely will not ever make it to the NHL. Would love to be wrong but not expecting anything from this guy.

I'll have a profile up for this guy soon. He is a boom or bust player but that is exactly what teams should be aiming for that late in the draft since there isn't much to choose from anyway.

His profile is up over at dobberprospects. I gave him a C- for grade since he is such a long shot. Thoughts?

Spot on IMO. I picked him up in the last round for pretty much the reasons you outline, Eric.

Good move. We draft and evaluate players differently than in real life. We don't draft future goons or future versatile penalty killers. We take chances on potential stars and in the right size of league he is worth the gamble.

I actually believe that applying this logic in the NHL could produce better results but that is a different topic.

I never read the profile , but he's definately worth taking a flyer on .

you never know if he'll be summoned to play alongside sid or malkin.
reminds me of a young Palffy for some reason.
