Let's play the "pick my keepers" game

I love getting your opinions. I'm currently working on a Edler for Bobby Ryan trade, but nothing yet. Cats in sig. Hits are included, which inflates Phaneuf's value.

Eligible for the 3 "young keeper" spots are Schenn, Granlund, Tarasenko, Lehner and Zibanejad. If I keep Rinne, there's no reason to use Lehner in that spot.

Who would be your keepers if you were me?

Ouch, a couple of tough choices. But I think your keepers are in bold above. Zibanijad is likely redraftable but I like him a lot.

I probably wouldn't move Edler for Ryan unless you get a nice sweetner in the deal.

When you are essentially moving a keeper for a keeper and you have solid bubble guys, it really doesn't open up things much for you.I wonder if you can't move a keeper and a bubble guy for a serious upgrade in that league. Ryan doesn't feel like much of an upgrade over anyone you have.

Just curious - why did you pick Carlson over Green?

Good point. I haven't had much luck so far. Ovie's owner finished second-last, but has made only 1 trade in 3 years. I've also tried to get Byfuglien for Edler + JvR.

Your centers are crystal clear with Tavares and Staal
LW -pacman, zetterberg (I think E. Kane warrants some consideration. Unlike Chris Stewart...Kane is turning out to be more of an Iggy incarnate.
RW- Iggy and Kovy hands down. That's a strong RW ( I'm jealous)
D- Karlsson, Phaneuf, Edler(if you don't move him), Green. I too am weary with Greens health...or lack there of, but you can't turn your back on this talent. The moment you do...he ends up pitching a Norris season.
G- Rinne...fantastic!
