After the deadline there is always a player who catches fire upon arriving with their new team. Steve Downie was a guy who struggled in Tampa this season, but seemed to find new life when arriving in Colorado. He recorded seven points in his first four games with the Avalanche while adding 14 shots. A shoulder injury has now unfortunately sidelined him for the foreseeable future. Hopefully it's not too serious and he can get back out there and continue his scoring ways.

Worth a Look

Tyler Ennis LW BUF (30% owned)
Ennis has been a big reason for the Sabres recent resurgence and push for a playoff spot. He has recorded eight points in his last ten games and also has nine hits in that span. During that run he has posted a plus-6 rating and has only had two games where he finished with a minus rating since February 11th.

Adam Larsson D NJ (6% owned)
The Devils rookie isn't going to put up many points, but he can provide help in other areas. Over his past three games he has six hits and six blocks. In fact on the season he is averaging a shot, hit, and block per game. He also has 15 multi-block games and 22 multi-hit games this year.

Pascal Dupuis LW PIT (29% owned)
Dupuis has six points in his last nine games and had a four game point streak to finish out the month of February. He’s also posted 175 shots this season and has had only four games on the year where he failed to record a shot. Solid pickup if you need help in the shots on goal category.

Steve Sullivan RW PIT (12% owned)
The Penguins somehow continue to keep rolling without Sidney Crosby in the line-up. A big reason for that has been the recent play of Sullivan. With 11 points in his past eight contests, Sullivan could be a valuable addition down the stretch. He is enjoying success with the man advantage as well because five of those points have come on the power play.

Drop ‘EM

Nikolai Khabibulin G EDM
With just one win since late December it may be time to let Khabibulin go. He has posted just two games with a save percentage over .900 in his last eight appearances. The Oilers seem to want to give Devan Dubnyk a shot down the stretch so look for Khabibulin’s starts to drop also.

Rene Bourque LW MON
A move to Montreal hasn’t sparked Bourque's play. He has just one point in his last ten games and is a minus-12 during that stretch. Just once in his last 17 games has he finished with a plus rating.
