    Quebec has some solid micro-brewers.

Unibroue (stated above) is a great brewery. The Trois-Pistoles is one of my favorites.

Dieu Du Ciel brewery is to die for.

Any of their beers is a drinkable work of art.

I think it was Bomm who mentioned Boddingtons. Since you like that, try out Old Speckled Hen, they're both quite similar, but I like Hen more now, especially on tap. It goes down like butter.

Sounds like I need to get me some of those duck fried frites. That sounds amazing. I love how this thread is just booming. We're all quite the beer snobs.

Thanks, for the tip on the Old Speckled Hen. I'll give it a shot. As far as the Duck Frites...

My wife is a foodie - I am too I guess, but I like a brat or dog from a street vendor just as much as I like ceviche - anyway, for years I hear her rant and rave about duck fat this and duck fat that.

This Blue Monk place opens....two summers back, I believe...and lo-and-behold, duck frites (only place in Buff that serves them, as far as I know)

I try them and the rest is history. Needless to say, she was correct.

EDIT: Just looked up the definition, and it turns out I am a "foodie" - i.e., amateurs who simply love food for consumption, study, preparation, and news.

Gourmets are the snooty ones...and I am far from that.

It's funny bomm..the place I buy my brats...they sell so many that one time I came in and asked for 50...they didn't even bat an eyelash. They just said ok, let me grab a couple bags in the back. About one minute later I had my 50 brats, packed them in a cooler, and drove to Vegas for my fantasy draft.

I guess that removes all possibility of including a Penguins fan, right?

What if I adopt Claude Giroux as my next honorary man-crush?

    Would that change things...
