Ugh so what does that mean in regards to Rundblad and fantasy value does he get a boost in value or a decline? As well does he still hold the same developmental upside in PHO as he did on the Sens. He hasn't done much thus far, but what happens now?

I'd have to think Cowans play made this possible for the Sens, though it still seems like an over payment. Turris had better live up to his 3rd overall draft pick.

There is a spot open for Turris to move into the 2nd C role if he is able to step up. Still a terrible trade where the team loses in value to fill a "need".

trade like this, you won't know who wins for a while
Whatever helps you sleep at night Big Ev. There's no way this is an "even trade" especially at the moment. If Turris can become a 60 point player (ideal world) then I'd consider it an "even trade". Rundblad is a pretty low risk player and as a defenseman he's got plenty of development time left.

The smart hockey guy inside you can't be truthful calling this an "even trade". Good old Sens bias.

Is Rundblad that special? I'm pretty sure Turris is the best player in this deal. The Sens were smart to make this deal, even though I don't particularly like the Sens.

Guess they saw Rundblad as the #3 behind Cowen and Karlsson forever in Ottawa.

    I'll miss you Runkle!

and I thought the Habs were best in the league at making shitty deals?

this one takes the cake for 2011-12 by a long shot...what cracks me up is that the Sens felt the need to 'sweeten' the deal cause Rundblad alone just wasn't enough -lmao

I guess Turris' NHL resume is more impressive than Filatov's. ???

If I had a dime for the amount of time people were wrong after judging a trade on the day of

I don't see how it's not even. Two players who have potential. I didn't say they won it.

If somehow some way Filatov and Turris both get their act together and play up to their potential, Ott will have pulled a huge rabbit out of their hat.

Also, apparently Nikita Filatov is back in North America. Turris' line mate? :P

Are you serious, EV? Don't play with my emotions. I'm feeling pretty fragile here.

Wow, if the Yotes had fans, I'm sure they would love the deal.

But at the same time, both Runblad AND Turris have not shown anything at the NHL level. The second round pick might have been a bit much though.
