You guys think that this was building for a while? Think a lower body injury could be to blame for some of his poor play from what I saw. Didn't seem to be as strong on the puck or have that escapability he did in seasons before.

Too lazy to start a new thread and since his newest injury doesn't have a thread, I'll post this update here in case anyone cares:
Forward Ville Leino skated with the Sabres for the first time since injuring his hip in training camp. He has been doing work on his own, but had not participated in a skate or practice with the team until Saturday.
Leino said it's the best he's felt so far and considers himself day-to-day, although he and the trainers can't tell if the treatment is working until he starts skating.
"I felt surprisingly good today," Leino said. "It was definitely positive. We'll try and build on that."

Ville Leino (hip) was able to participate in Buffalo's Saturday morning skate.
"I felt surprisingly good," Leino said. "It was definitely positive. We’ll try to build on that, and we’ll see later on today and tomorrow how it recovers from that. It's really definitely felt the best I've felt so far. To be honest with you, before today I was having my doubts. It’s not like I can say now I’ll play in a couple days or so, but today I really was positive and feel good about it. Now I’m trusting more it will happen soon." There's still no timetable for his return, but this is obviously an encouraging development.
